Autumn's school.

Image
Autumn started school last month at a local church that her grandma and grandpa attend. She goes Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for three hours. So far, I'm really loving school and so is Autumn. Don't get me wrong, she is grouchy about getting up in the morning and getting ready, but once we make it to the car, she is all smiles and happy about going to school. I wonder where that morning time grouchiness comes from?? NOT I!!!!! They had school pictures done last week and really, I wasn't expecting much, but I LOVE the pictures. I cannot decide between them. Guess I'll be shelling out the money for all of them. Yesterday the girls and I were outside having some fun in the driveway. Autumn riding her bike (and yes she demanded to wear jeans). Millie Willie. It's all fun and games until your sister decides to pull a Mommy dearest (isn't that the movie where the old woman gets pushed down the stairs?). Sean, you know what Autumn is trying to do right? Our great new Georgia Life.

Once we got to Grandma and Grandpa's house, we started getting settled to the idea of what it meant to be at "Georgia's house." The extremely warm temperatures meant Swimming without turning blue. Just a lot of smiles. Grandma and Grandpa Jordan set up this little pool for the girls and boy did they have a blast. I hope this is the beginning of a lot of days by the pool. Another fabulous thing about Georgia, Fishing. Of course it helps to have a full blown professional fisher from Georgia as your dad. Mille and I hung back to watch the professionals work. So I really love this picture, but I'm not sure what was going on with her shorts. Autumn taking a little break from the sun, but pointing out that the fish are down there. Let's see it Autumn! It didn't take Autumn very long to make her first catch. Maybe it is time to head back. After about 10-15 minutes in the heat, everyone is turning red and splotchy. Boy, this 100+ degrees thing is going to take som...

Days 11 and 12 were so boring that I don't even have any pictures! We woke up on Day 11 in Colorado and drove to Salina, Kansas. 452 miles. We stayed at a La Quinta, picked up some steakhouse take out and called it a night. Day 12 we drove to St Peters, Missouri. We drove just under 400 miles. I knew as soon as we got in to Missouri that I wanted some Steak n' Shake. We stopped at one for lunch. I got a Frisco burger (or something like that). It was delicious. I gobbled it down! That evening I got to meet up with a friend, Cathy and her daughters Gianna and Sophie. Cathy and I actually met 3 or 4 years ago (before Sophie/Autumn/Emelia and Gianna were even born!) online. We've been mostly chatting on line, but occasionally had talked on the phone. I was very excited to finally see her face to face. Boy, was she way taller than I was expecting!! So we met up at a McDonald's. Autumn and Sophie were too busy doing their own things to really notice each other, but Cathy and ...
