The Farm House.

Autumn's school planned an outing to a pumpkin patch at a little place in town called, The Farm House. As soon as we got word of the field trip, Autumn asked that Grandma come along. Well, we invited Grandma and of course she accepted, but at the very last minute, an emergency came up with her sister (Aunt Carolyn) and Grandma needed to be with her. SO, Grandma decided we would all go to the pumpkin patch, just a day early. I have to say, thank goodness because someone wasn't being very understanding as to why grandma had to be away! Great idea Phyllis!

I don't think Autumn ever actually touched the horse. Every time she got close enough, the horse backed up. One time neighed and freaked Emelia and I out!

We made our way over to the "pumpkin patch." OK- truth be told, the pumpkin patch was off in a field. We told Autumn this was the pumpkin patch so she wouldn't be mad at Grandma!

Since it is a farm, we decided we would just check out all the animals.

I'm an ass.

Emelia still keeping her distance. I'm not sure why, but she isn't very trusting of the animals.

So the next day, Autumn, Emelia and I made our way back to the pumpkin patch for the school outing.

The day started with Autumn doing a craft.

Then some playing, while we waited for our hayride. I wonder how many kids they can get on the end of that?

Photobucket
Tell me she doesn't look like trouble!

Photobucket
Can you tell she is having a blast?

Photobucket
Our turn to get on the tractor.

Photobucket
Does she look a little worried? Sitting next to Autumn is her teacher Mrs Kari.

After a short hayride, you can hear all the kids hollering about the pumpkins off in the field. Each child would get to pick which ever pumpkin they wanted!

Trying to get a photo of the three of us! Guess there was too much sun.

Heading back.

We had such a great time today. Now we all need a little nap!

My 4 year old has the same type of curls as Autumn but maybe a little thicker. Her hair is so prone to frizz and is so hard to manage. I investigated the curly hair girls guide and have started not shampooing it, just using baking soda and water to get grime out and some product. I have tried everything prior to this. I was skeptical about the baking soda thing but really it seems no different then shampoo, so why not!
So do you have any suggestions. Curly hair is so high maintenance! I am trying to talk my 11 month old into straight hair!

It will probably sound ridiculous, but I have purchased salon quality spray in conditioner (It's about 17 dollars a bottle at JC Penny). I've tried all the children's products for tangles and even some of the adult stuff that you can buy in the aisle at Walmart, but none of it has worked as well as the salon quality conditioner. I also only shampoo her hair about once a week unless something comes up and we need to wash it again. Curly hair is high maintenance!
