Our 2014 Trip to Gatlinburg Continued.
I'm having such a hard time keeping up with my blog. We are always on the move and there is always something to say about something when you are a Cherish Hope. I'm just going to do my best to plug ahead.
I wanted a picture of the name of the hotel we stayed at in Gatlinburg (technically Seiverville), but the girls were not interested in letting me get a photo without them in it!!!
If/when we go back, we will stay at this hotel again (Clarion Inn Willow River). We loved it.
Our first stop this morning was:
The Apple Barn.
We were after breakfast and apples.
Ridiculous faces.
Take a picture of my rain coat.
OK mom. Enough of the pictures.
The Christmas shop. Oh Millie!
Ballerina!!
Sweet Autumn.
Sweet Millie.
Again, with that face Millie!!
Beautiful red!!!!!!!!
Doesn't everyone pick apples this way?? HA HA HA
It wasn't what I had in mind when I decided we should do some apple picking, but hey, it was right here, available and the girls loved it. We also found apple picking baskets the girls would use with their Halloween costumes.
Once we were done with apple picking, we headed over to the Alpine Coaster!! It was awesome!!!!!!!!
If you look in the background, you can see what looks like roller coaster railing.
I loved the colors and the atmosphere this place had to offer.
Sean and Millie rode together (I had a few pictures of them together, but they didn't turn out very well).
Autumn and I rode together.
Up.
Up.
Up.
And UP we went! That was quite a long track! We didn't use the brakes at all. There were a few spots that scared me!!! The good kind of scare. The kind of scare that says, I want to do that again!!
Once we were done coastering, we headed over to the Smoky Mountains so that the girls could walk Clingman's Dome Trail and hit the highest point in Tennessee.
It was CLOUDY! And Windy!!!
Clingman's Dome.
Mom... Pick me up!!!! I will shrug my shoulders in complete opposition to you forcing me to walk up this mountain.
HA HA HA!!!!! Love that Millie girl!!
My favorite part of this view of the trail to Clingman's Dome is that in the center of the photo is Sean and Autumn!
Millie and I finally made it to the top!
Look at those smiles for miles!!! Oh Millie might not have enjoyed the walk up, but she did have a great experience.
I do believe Autumn is one of the most beautiful people I know.
Being a Jordan means many things, but one thing that it always means is that we have adventures. On this adventure, we run into...
I have no idea what that thing was, but
Autumn required a picture with it.
Millie and Sean.
A panorama of the great smoky mountains.
More fall leaves. Is it any wonder that fall is my favorite season?
My favorite tree in the park!
River side.
I wish the yellow would jump out at you the way it does in person.
The same picture, but not sideways!
What isn't to love about the mountains?
The Jordan's.
