Oh the drama.
Yesterday when I picked Millie up from school she told me that Landon had stolen something from her. I asked her what did he steal, but she said she didn't see him take it.
Cherish: So how do you know he took anything?
Millie: Kaylee heard Damien dare Landon to steal something from my book bag and then saw him take something.
Cherish: Mrs Taylor will take care of it in the morning.
Millie: I think he took my pencil case because Kaylee said it was something long.
Cherish: We will let Mrs Taylor handle it in the morning.
This morning.
Millie, put your glasses on.
Millie: (Looks in book bag) They aren't in my book bag.
Aha moment! I think we know what happened to your glasses, but we should look around the house. We tore the house apart trying to find those glasses and they were just not showing up.
We go to school. I talked to Mrs Taylor in the hallway. She recalled Millie telling her Landon was digging in her bag. Mrs Taylor to Landon: Did you go into Millie's bag?
Landon: Yes.
Mrs Taylor: Why?
Landon: I wanted Millie's glasses, so I took them and hid them on the playground.
Me: Baffled!!!!
Landon, Millie and I go to the playground to figure out where Landon put the glasses. Landon tells me. I love how they are purple and I wanted to see how they looked on my eye.
We don't find the glasses anywhere on the playground. I go back to Mrs Taylor and tell her I'm going to go to the office and see if anyone has turned them in.
Nope.
I speak with Mrs Barringer who enlists Mrs Greene. We all make our way to the classroom.
Landon starts back pedaling when he sees how many adults are getting involved and that people are upset.
Mrs Barringer asks the students, raise your hand if you saw Landon in Millie's bag. 6 or 7 kiddos raise their hands.
I have to tell you, by now I was very much upset.
I tell the teachers/administrators I'm going to go home and see if I can turn up the glasses.
I start ripping through the house and finally, the last place I would think to look (Autumn's room), Millie's glasses show up.
I go back to school and Mrs Greene is in the office. I tell her I found the glasses. She tells me to hang on a second and then gets on the intercom and says,
"Attention school. The glasses have been found."
I was mortified.
I believe that Landon did take Millie's glasses. Tried them on and put them back. I believe he said they were on the playgound to get out of class and play on the playground.
After that debacle, we head out to field day.
Things were going well until.....
Until this event. When it was Millie's turn, she got to the second or third person and tripped. She bled so bad. We stayed long enough for her to get bandaged up by the nurse, to eat lunch and then we signed out and came home.
On to you....
I posted this to Facebook and it was tagged as Matlock, Washington. I wonder if that is right.
