It's raining

Image
It's pouring, the old man is snoring. We never left the house yesterday. As a matter of fact, we never got out of our PJ's. Your parents stopped by last night, not so much to check on me, but to see if my foot looked as bad as the picture "made it look," according to your mom. Perhaps I wasn't being whiny enough about it, but they were shocked when they saw it and I think, mostly surprised that it doesn't hurt to walk on it. Your mom and dad are headed out of town tomorrow for a week. They are going down to Orlando. I hope the weather clears up and that they can have a nice time. As for the girls and I, we have been enjoying tacos, popcorn and movies. Olive you. We watched Peter Pan last night and the girls were really into it, but it was a bit long and about the last half hour of it, they went berserk. They started playing indoor soccer. This morning I decided we needed some Krispy Kreme in our life. Autumn said she wanted to go to the d...

Sometimes timing is everything.

I woke up this morning hoping, hoping that my ankle would be better.... Sadly it was swollen and achy this morning. I asked Autumn to grab her coat out of her closet and she came back with this one. She said, "my daddy gave me this one, so I want to wear it." Millie doesn't seem quite awake yet! I took the girls to school and then went over to Walmart. I promised Autumn something and needed to pick it up, plus milk and motrin. I came home and propped my foot up. I talked to your mom about going to Callaway's Birds of Prey show tomorrow when she told me we were due for bad weather. I looked it up and sure enough we have a nasty thunderstorm headed our way tomorrow. I left to get the girls early because I really enjoy sitting outside the school listening to the kids on the playground. It is almost always Autumn's class out there. It was sunny and warm. I decided that we would forgo nap time today and play in the drive way. I brought out a blank...

How do I do that?

Last night at Sam's... Doesn't she look sort of tall here? Wednesday is Sprint day for me. I ran. At the end of my run, I walked 1/2 mile for my cool down. I noticed a note on a tree for a missing dog and was trying to read it from the trail. I stepped off the trail a tad and rolled my ankle. I heard a very loud pop and it hurt! My ankle, the round part, hit the pavement. I "walked" it off for a minute and then sat in the car and cried. I didn't think I was going to be able to drive, but after a few minutes, it felt OK enough to try. I cried all the way home. How do I always do that to myself when you are away? I got home and it didn't look too bad. It doesn't hurt to put weight on it. These have to be good signs don't they. I did what you said and took some Motrin and then did an ice bath. Oh my gosh I haven't done that since physical therapy when I was in the Air Force. Man that hurts!!!!! It still looks pretty swolle...

How bad can I be?

It rained, rained, rained last night and this morning. I thought it would rain all day. The girls slept in until 8 am this morning. That never happens. I didn't complain, just enjoyed the peace and quiet that was our home. We were slow, slow, slow to get moving this morning. I'm guessing the weather. I did get to some of my Monday chores that I missed out doing yesterday. Not much, but I at least worked through the kitchen. I'll be playing catch up the rest of the week. By the afternoon, the sun came out. It was still a little breezy but not bad temperature wise. After Millie took her nap, I loaded the jogger and took the girls to Fall Line Trace. Oh my gosh, I hate running with the double jogger. I didn't really like running with the single, but the double feels like I'm moving boulders the whole entire time! Maybe that will help me improve my run time? So I had to go slow, slow, slow. Just like the rest of my day. I don't know why ...

Did you miss me?

I know you did! We left Angie's this morning about 930. I knew it was going to be a long drive because within the first 5 minutes, we stopped twice and didn't accomplish a thing! At lunch time, we stopped at chickfila for about an hour. We made it home around 2 pm. I unloaded and unpacked. I did some light housework. I headed to Walmart to pick up stuff to make beef stew for dinner. When we got home, I prepped dinner and your mom and dad visited with the girls. We have a fire going in the fire place and the beef stew is in the dutch oven. I owe you some pictures. In Angie's driveway. The girls were both very excited to be at Riley's and Reagan's house. Can you see the excitement that makes up 4 and three quarters? There were tents (poor crooked eye). Yummy, silly dinners. Secrets. Autumn told Reagan to call Riley a baby. What a punk. Saturday morning we took the girls to Monkey Joe's. Sorry for the blurs! Reagan and Rile...
