A Lunar Eclipse.
Even though it snowed quite a bit yesterday, the clouds cleared up in time for us to see most of the lunar eclipse.
It was pretty cool. The other GREAT thing about this is that it is the winter solstice. That means we will start adding daylight to our hours of darkness. This pleases me to no end.
So I downloaded some more photos and here is a progression of the lunar eclipse.
It is faint, but if you can see the blue line, that is the outer edges of the moon.
I think it is pretty cool. Shortly after this photo, the clouds really rolled in.
My friend Amy (also in Alaska) got this beautiful shot.
It has been somewhat a strange week. I came down with some sort of stomach bug and was puking my brains out. I just started eating food again. Sean and I can finally start discussing what we are having for Christmas eve and Christmas dinner.
To add to the busy Christmas Season, Autumn has been telling me for a few days now that her ear is disgusting. She has been grabbing at it and pulling on it, so Sean took her to see the doctor and sure enough, the girl has an ear infection. She hasn't ever had an ear infection before and the next time she tells me her ear is disgusting, I'll know to take her to the doctor right away.
I've finished all my Christmas shopping, wrapping, mailing. If you were expecting a gift from me, you should have received it already.
Sean is headed out to do his Christmas shopping. He is such a slacker! T minus 4 days until Christmas and he is just now heading out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll add a few more pictures from the eclipse later on today, so if you are only seeing one photo, check back later.
Emelia recently has started eating a lot of finger food.
A new fave, yogurt!
She likes it so much, she tried to eat the bowl!
And she is very nearly crawling, but here is a picture of her standing. Please forgive the blurriness of the photo, it isn't easy to catch a picture of her standing! I just LOVE those fat chunky legs sticking out over her baby leggs!
Merry Christmas week!
The Jordan's.
