Upside Down Kind of Life.
We've had such a busy day. I'm just getting to sit down. After I dropped Autumn off at school, Miss Keri kind of hinted to me that she'd like me to bring cupcakes for Autumn's class, so I added that to my list of things to take care of.
Our first stop was the post office to take care of that HOA thing we disccused and then Millie and I went to Barnes and Noble to pick out a few items for Autumn, but first...
We indulged in coffee and milk. Millie also had free samples of wild blueberry muffin. She loved it.
Millie picked her gift for Autumn, an owl coffee mug. I think Autumn is really going to like that. She is really in to owls right now.
After B&N, we went to Toys R Us, Party City, and Walmart. I didn't find what I was looking for, but it isn't a big deal. I know what I'm getting Autumn for her birthday now and that is what matters. I am not sure if I'm supposed to be looking for her fishing pole or not?
After all that running around, we went and picked Autumn up from school and the sun finally made an appearance so we went to the park.
Millie swinging.
Autumn swinging.
While we were there, Grandma and Grandpa showed up and we just had a good time playing, laughing, talking and soaking up the sun.
I guess I should add spinning to that list. I'm amazed at how fast your dad spins Autumn and she gets up and runs off like it never even happened. I was spinning much slower and nearly fell down!
Millie mostly had a good time. She tried to do something dangerous though and your dad stopped her and it really hurt her feelings. She was giving him dirty looks and when I finally calmed her down and was able to put her down, she stomped her foot at your dad, kind of like, Take THAT!
After the park, the girls and I went to Ryan's for dinner. Let me tell you what, it was great for the three of us. We all had our salad, the girls got ice cream afterwards and I only had to pay full price for myself. Autumn was 99 cents and Millie was FREE! Talk about a cheap meal. Since the girls ate their whole salad, I let them have an ice cream.
While we were in the parking lot of Ryan's, Autumn climbed in the front seat and was practicing writing your name. Can you see it? She got the S E A on the same line and the N is below it. She is really starting to write a lot. I'm so excited watching her learn and grow. Can you believe she will be four on Friday? I cannot!
After Ryan's we had to go to Publix to pick up cupcakes and milk. Somewhere in all that mess from today I also went to Target! I'm telling you, I've been everywhere man. We finally made it home and I gave the girls a bath and have them in bed and now at 815 PM, I finally have time to talk to you.
On a completely different subject, Autumn keeps teaching me lessons all the time. I'd like your input on this. You know how we instituted the "bed fairy" a while ago to get Autumn to stay all night in her room? We've not seen or heard from the bed fairy in quite sometime and Autumn has been staying in her own room, but over the last few days, Autumn has been asking for a visit from the bed fairy and showing up to our room. Today in the car she told me she wanted the bed fairy to start bringing her money. Do you think she is on to us?
Lastly, Autumn has taught me that when life feels upside down, just laugh.
Missing you terribly.
