Falling behind.
I know, I was doing so good at posting and now I am lucky to update once a week. It has been a busy time. I did one of my clinicals (follow the Radiologist around), I have to schedule one more. I finished my medical terminology class with an A and I am about half way through my anatomy/physiology class. I got my vaccines up to date today. Hard to believe I was missing any. The lovely young lady who helped me thought I was a Technical Sergeant and asked me how long was I in the Air Force. I told her six years and that my husband was the Technical Sergeant, I only made it to Staff Sergeant when I was in. Anyway, I am so close to my goal of getting into the Radiology program that I can almost taste it.
During my clinical I was surprised to hear that it was best to not mention that Sean was in the military, that they may hold that against me. I guess it is because after getting trained up, they do not want to lose a person to a military move. I certainly hope that is not true. Military families have it hard enough. At the Alaska Native Medical center, I was able to get a taste of what it would be like to be a Radiologist technician. It was very interesting to take a peek into people's insides and find things you would never suspect. One lady had four kidney's. FOUR!
OK. Enough about me. Mount Redoubt finally blew its top on Sunday. Sean left Saturday night for Ft Lewis. He is supposed to come back tonight. Some of the flights in and out have been affected by the volcano, but it looks like Sean will still make it home when he is supposed to.
Autumn has been very clingy and cranky the last two weeks or so. Her one lonely little tooth is still trying to make its way through. I have been giving her the Highlands Teething tablets and they work wonderfully. Autumn has been signing for milk. We are down to two nursing sessions a day. This morning at our Awesome Abs workout, she did the milk sign at me and I told her no, so she walked over to Mrs. Cindy and did it to her. It was kind of funny. I guess she thought Cindy might just lift up her shirt and nurse her. Autumn really does love Cindy though. Besides Sean and I, Cindy is the only other person that Autumn will cuddle with.
Well, that is it for me this evening. I am going to watch NCIS and the Mentalist. Two of my favorite shows. Sean, I hope you make it home tonight. I am leaving the front door unlocked. If any home burglars are reading this, I do have a shot gun and I am waiting for an opportunity to use it.
Love you much.
