Making New Friends.
It is so exciting to see you post on here. I almost do not want to post this because it will push your post down!!!! It is so nice to have your touch on my blog. Anyway, back to me and Autumn.
This morning we headed over to the:
Alaska Museum of Natural History. We had such a blast. As we pulled up into the parking lot, we were greeted by this painting on the side of the building.
Autumn was so excited as we got started.
We were greeted at the door by a very nice dog named Bosley. Autumn made fast friends with him and spent almost the ENTIRE time at the museum walking back out to Bosley. At one point she laid down next to him (I had to draw the line there-the floor was wet from snow).
Once I tore Autumn away from the dog, we made our way through the museum. First stop, Cool yet Creepy Owl.
Then,
More creepy, but cool animals.
Autumn, watch out for that bear!!!!!
Then things took a more serious turn,
Autumn was very much so studying different organisms under the microscope. She even showed some of the older kids how to eat the slides.
Then the most awesomest part of the whole museum, the DINOSAUR PIT!!!
My little Paleontologist loved digging in the "rocks" for dino bones. Did you ever have any idea Autumn would be living out your dream Sean?
For anybody reading my blog in Alaska, it only cost $5 to go to the Museum. They allow the children to touch everything (minus Mr Lion who will apparently shed his fur so no touching him). In addition to the dinosaur pit, they have a huge wall in the back with a chalkboard on it for drawing, playdo for making awesome things with, puzzles, all kinds of good kid stuff. I highly recommend it for children under five. It was a blast!
We had a very good day. I think I have successfully weaned Autumn. She has not had any breast milk since last night. She is in bed for the night and she did not seem at all upset about not nursing. Hopefully tomorrow goes just as well.
I love you and miss you terribly. Your favorite wife and airman. xoxo
