A day at the park.
It is slowly becoming winter. As you look towards the mountains, you can see the snow line slowly approaching our elevation. It feels as if the snow is coming for us. In the meantime, we've been trying to enjoy as much sunshine as we can get. Our temperatures have been in the 40's, but with the sunshine, it doesn't feel all that cold.
Look at that grouch face! You should know that right before I took this picture, Autumn flipped out of the swing and literally ate dirt.
Poor girl.
Emelia having some fun too!
Learning how to walk (on a side note, doesn't she look just like Sean in this photo?).
For dinner last night, we had Beef Brikset with Parsnips, leeks, and green onions served over cous cous spiked with Gremalata.
For the recipe, click here. The only thing I would do differently is to use plain cous cous next time. The flavor profiles were competing with one another. Otherwise, it was a very delicious meal. For dessert,
Peanut butter cheesecake.
It was so good, but so very rich. I barely made it through this slice.
So I guess we are ready and waiting for winter here in Alaska. I suppose through all this good food and a little bit of:
hiding out, we'll survive yet another winter!
The Jordan's.
