Mother's Day in Seward
Every woman knows you have to:
Clean before you can go anywhere.
Cinder-Autumn
On the boardwalk, down by the Sea.
While I was checking in with our tour guide, Sean and Autumn ran into:
A sleeping Sea Lion. Sean got this picture with his cell phone and said that the sea lion was just a few feet away from them, peacefully sleeping. At one point, while the Sea Lion was coming up for air, he snorted out some water and soaked Autumn. Autumn found this quite amusing!
On the back of our boat.
The view.
It was a little chilly and we forgot Autumn's gloves, so we found some makeshift gloves! Autumn didn't mind, she chose warmth!
The ride.
"Using" the binoculars.
Finally figured it out!
Autumn was talking to someone on her cell phone about all the stuff she was seeing, mainly whales and water.
Dall sheep.
Bald Eagle.
We had the distinct pleasure of seeing a humpback whale and baby (this was the only shot I got of the whales).
Sea lions.
About 2.5 hours in, Autumn was finally worn out from all the excitement of the day. Personally, I'm glad she slept, there was a family near us- all of them puking from sea sickness- YUCK!
At the Seward Park. Flying high.
In the big kid swing.
Back at our hotel, the Holiday Inn Express, we had a sea side room on the third floor. Autumn was looking out our window and started hollering bear. Then she switched over to whale and became very excited, beating on the window. Sean went over to see what she was fussing over, looked out the window and saw this:
A sea lion eating/killing something, right outside our window. We put our shoes on and headed outside.
At first all we saw was this otter, but!!!!
After a few minutes, we got a real up close look at that Gigantic Sea lion!!
He flung some of his fish out on the boardwalk at us and just barely missed us. I'm ashamed to admit it, but when water and fish guts started coming towards us, it scared me and I screamed like a little girl.
The next day we made our way to the Sea Life Center.
Spring has sprung.
Birds.
Sean encouraging Autumn to lean over into the tank of cold water with mean birds.
Puffin.
There was a lot of action in there, Autumn really enjoyed it.
Sean petting a bird.
Cherish and Autumn.
Getting some sun.
More birds.
Pet tank. Autumn wouldn't touch anything in there because she said they were spiders.
Sean is a super star.
Pointing.
Autumn otter see this.
Chasing the big guy.
My favorite photo of the day.
Still pregnant. That's all I got to say about that. Enjoy our photos!
