Gatlinburg, again.
We were really hoping to take one last trip to the beach, but when we tried to get reservations, everything was booked up. We decided to head north to Gatlinburg.
Our first stop was to the Smoky Mountains National Park to get our
Stamp in our passport.
Millie was researching the trails.
Roww.
Millie and Roww.
Even a Sean and Roww picture.
My little sweet heart.
After driving through the mountains a bit, we headed to our "home."
Autumn was introduced to Pixy sticks.
One of the nice things about our resort,
The playground.
She's electric.
Little lady.
Love her glasses.
Some people are little kids at heart.
We ate dinner at our hotel and then called it a night. The next morning, we got up and headed into the park for a family hike. On the way, we bumped into
some deer.
There were stunning views.
Grotto falls.
As usual, I had Millie.
Sean had Autumn.
There was wild life.
There was wild flowers.
Sean took this totally awesome picture of me and Millie (note to self, get Autumn to take pictures from now on).
Per Autumn operating standards, she cried almost all the way out to the falls. Autumn didn't appreciate getting wet, or dirty.
Sean and Millie going through the falls.
Cherish and Millie. That water felt really good to me.
You mean we are going back now? OK, now I can be happy.
Millie was greeting all the other passer bys.
Once Autumn decided to have fun, we all did.
Proof is in the smile.
Showing off her "bad skills."
Cheese, mom.
Stumbled across this totally cool house and water thing.
Can I move here?
See Sean? Autumn is better at taking pictures than you.
Me and my girl.
No trip to Gatlinburg is complete without some shopping.
I scare me.
After shopping, we headed to our hotel and had lunch. Then off to the water park!
Between the hiking and the water, Millie passed out! I got to chill out with her for a bit while Autumn made big splashes!
One!
Two!
Three!
Four!
Splash!
I cannot tell you how long we spent at the water park, it felt like all day. We had to bribe Autumn out of the water with candy and ice cream. It really was a lot of fun.
We went back to our room, showered up, had a dinner and then watched a movie until everyone fell asleep.
The next morning,
We headed out via Cades Cove. It was a nice scenic drive. We made some stops to check somethings out.
There was a little cabin. Hard to believe someone may have lived here. Sean had to duck to get in the room. Autumn and I found a small staircase that led upstairs. I am very grateful that Autumn and I decided Sean should go up first and check it out. There was a wasps nests up there. The girls and I started making our way out of the cabin when I look back and realize there were a gazillion wasps all around the back of that cabin. No one was stung! Thank goodness!
Autumn, Roww and Barney.
A future pioneer woman right there.
The Jordan's.
