I have pictures to post, but I shut the computer down and well, I don't feel like booting it on.

My head hurts for some reason. I think I need water, my mouth is dry.

I need to go over to the "elephantry" school tomorrow for a registration packet.

I am meeting Tricia (Millie's teacher) tomorrow for a run.

I am considering wearing my combat boots with my brand new sexy dress.

Conversation with Autumn today.

Autumn: I always let Boyd go through first.

(I actually have no idea what that means).

Cherish: Is Boyd your best friend?

Autumn: Yes. I love him very much.

Cherish: Is he your boy friend?

Autumn: Yes, but I will tell him later!

This girl cracks me up. I just asked what she meant earlier about letting Boyd go first.

Autumn: when we go to the table, I scooch my chair back and let Boyd go through first.

Autumn tells me that Miss Keri has been talking to them about kindergarten. I am glad to hear that.

We had the homefront meeting tonight. I need to get the girls off to bed.

We are still in Seattle for Day 7!

Since we left Anchorage, Sean noticed there was a small oil leak coming from the Jeep. We decided that since we were in the United States now, we should get it checked out. Now, I cannot really remember what was wrong with the Jeep and why it was leaking, but what I DO remember is that the part wouldn't be in until later today, so we decided that instead of going down to Portland, Oregon as planned, we hang around in Washington for one more day. We learned about a park there called Forest Park. If you live in this area and have kids, you HAVE to go and visit this park! They had a big open field for picnics, kite flying or bubbles! There is a playground, sprinklers, a petting zoo and it was all FREE. I didn't realize there would be sprinklers, so I didn't pack the girls bathing suits for that day. SHAME on me! July's 2026 sailing trip! Day one Seward to Bulldog Cove.

 I guess it has been some time since I updated the blog. Last sailing season was pretty much a bust. We had to take S/V Ulu out of the water and do some pretty extensive repairs. This season though, Ulu sailed like a dream! Sean and I researched and poured over our route ( see document ) and went into this season with a few thoughts we had learned from the previous sailing seasons. 1. Weather gets a big vote! If the weather doesn't make sense, sailing doesn't make sense. 2. We are willing to change our route, our plan, our stays based on all the knowledge we have at the time a decision needs to be made. 3. We motor when there is a time sensitive location (such as we need to get to point XYZ before a strong tide, etc.).  We arrived in Seward on Friday, July 3rd. We had hoped to leave on Saturday, July 4th, but that didn't work out (ie... the weather wasn't good). We started our trip a day later on Sunday, July 5th. Sweet Dingo. My Dad is the coolest.

We had a pretty good day today. Autumn is still a little bit cranky which makes me wonder if something else is going on. I'll just say she is teething like I always do. Maybe, one day she will have teeth, or even a tooth. We had a super lame dinner. I am waiting until you get home to do some grocery shopping. Speaking of the kitchen, why does Autumn always feel the need to tear it apart? I swear, when I walked in there today, I thought you were home already. I found the culprit though: The Destructionator. Maybe I should show Autumn the long arm of the law: Which brings me to my next point. When you have wimpy arms like that and a husband who is always gone, you have to find some one/thing to open jars for you. SO glad we have this: My uber strong second husband.
