Basil is the best.

Reuben's!! It is what is for dinner.

Speaking of food. I asked Autumn what she wanted in her lunch box tomorrow and she told me that she wanted Peanut Butter and Jelly, chips and a basil leaf. That girl is hysterical!!

This morning when I woke up at 545 am, I decided that I really just needed a break and to recharge. Why have I been so tired? I went to bed at 830 last night and was asleep before 9 pm for sure.

Anyway, I got the girls off to school. I didn't see or hear from Kristin (she had a stomach virus yesterday), so I wore my running clothes and brought all my running stuff just in case she was there. Since she wasn't, I went over to B&N and grabbed a

Pumpkin Spice Latte. I started to sit down and read, but I just wasn't feeling it. I got back to the car and drove. I guess I was sort of on auto pilot when I realized I was at the trail head. What would it hurt to walk a little bit since I was here anyway. Cherish walk? That is hard!!

I started to run. I was feeling pretty good. Somewhere in my run, a butterfly flew near me. It sort of went up the front of me and I was trying not to touch it because I didn't want to hurt it, but it ended up on my head. The side of my head. I'm not sure how long it stayed there.... A few minutes after that, a wasp flew right at my face and hit me in the temple. I mean that joker almost went right in to my eye! I immediately went to smack it and then thought that wasn't very smart. I am sure it took me at least 5 minutes to fix my breathing after that!!

I had a PR (Personal Record) on my 10k time!!! WOOT WOOT Have you read anything about fartlek's? Every 8 minutes, you run a certain # of minutes at a quicker pace. I tried a 8 minutes to 1, 8 minutes to 1, 8 minutes to 3 (and nearly DIED on this one), then 8 minutes to 1, repeat. I liked this method, minus the 3 minute one. That was TOO hard!!

I picked Millie up from school. We came home and I did some laundry. We picked Autumn up from school and while in the pick up line I saw a red Jeep, which I see often, but it is usually in front of me. I noticed their sign in their windshield said Irvin, which is Autumn's teacher. Then I saw Satterfield. I went back and spoke with her and told her that my daughter has talked nonstop about Kayleigh Satterfield since school started. She said, "Is your daughter's name Autumn?" Yes it is!! She said that Kayleigh has talked a lot about Autumn too. I gave her my phone number and asked her if she thought we could set up a play date sometime. I am hoping this pans out.

On a completely different topic, something I've been waiting years for finally happened yesterday...

The fix your hair line up!!! I was so shocked to see them combing each others hair! I remember doing that with my sisters and we always had so much fun "fixing" each others hair. That reminds me, we should get rid of all the scissors in the house. I just recall how when we started "fixing" each others hair, some people may have received haircuts.

It is harder than it looks.

Millie really wanted me to wear these. I really do not know why!

After homework time today, the girls wanted to play in the pool. The pool doesn't look so great.....

So they played in the "sand" table.

Sweet, sweet Millie. She misses you so. This morning at drop off she had a total meltdown over giving me a hug. Thankfully, I heard and understood what she said as she was walking in the door. I parked the car and walked in there and she asked me "Mommy, why did you come back?" I told her that I heard her say she wanted to give me a hug and I really wanted her hug. She hugged me. I wiped her tears, cleaned her glasses off and she smiled so big. Her teacher told me she was fine after that. I will need to make sure she gets her hug from me tomorrow in the car before they take her.

Well, that is our day in a nutshell. Veg out time now. Probably won't go to bed at 830 tonight!! I am feeling better, more rested now. I think whatever has been bothering me is finally leaving my system. Just a few more days I think.

I love you and miss you much!

Your current wife and favorite airman. xoxo
