Battle in the closet.

While we were getting ready for Awana tonight, I went into your closet to get quarters (mission money).

I noticed some small black stuff on the carpet near the change jar.

I notice that it is under your wet suit.

It was not big enough to be mouse scat, which is what I thought it was at first.

I remembered seeing the lizard go into your closet this afternoon, and I have no idea what lizard scat looks like.

I start shaking your wet suit.

More of this black stuff is falling off.

Now I'm trying to figure out if there is something that you sprayed on your suit that is falling off.

I am poking and prodding and pulling things apart when all of a sudden......

A GIANT ROACH IS STARING AT ME!!!!!!!

I scream bloody murder.

Autumn, who was standing behind me, runs out of our room and out of the house.

Millie on the other hand, "I want to see. I want to see. What is it mommy? I will help you!"

I pull your wet suit out of the closet after I get my hands on the vacuum cleaner.

After some girl screaming, I get the stupid roach vacuumed up.

I pull your wet suit completely apart and I don't find any other roaches.

I have this feeling that the roach came in with the beer boxes.

I go in to your closet frequently, mostly behind little girls that go into your closet and that pile of black stuff was not there a few days ago.

I vacuum off and search through your wet suit thoroughly, and then vacuum out your closet.

I hope I don't have nightmares tonight.

I mean that thing was staring me in the face!!!

ACK!!!!!!!!!!

So, since the girls do not have school tomorrow, they are staying up and watching TV.

We are all going to do homework and house work tomorrow.

I will probably take them out for a labor day ice cream tomorrow.

Snowzilla.

Autumn and I began the day shoveling the driveway. That is much more work than it sounds like. I had to get us both suited up for the ten degree weather, put her in the backpack, then head on out. It took us about an hour to finish the driveway and when we came back in, poor little Autumn's face had frost nip on it. She has now had frost nip twice. Later today, we went to visit Snowzilla. Frosty the Snowzilla man is huge!!! The local government is trying to put a stop to Snowzilla citing a building code violation. Well, I say down with the man!!!! Keep Snowzilla up. Playing with fire.

I hear clank, clank, clank in the kitchen. This cannot be good, grab the camera first though- for proof. You never know what you might find. Uh huh! AUTUMN!! What mom? I wasn't doing anything! So I've moved the knives for now, but it is only temporary. They need to go in a locked cabinet. I took Autumn's step stool upstairs to our bathroom so she could brush her teeth. I think I'm going to head back to Target and buy another one. I'm lazy and do not want to drag one up/down the stairs. Autumn really enjoys brushing her teeth.... with MY toothbrush! Say AHHHHHHH- checking to make sure she did a good job. She is so funny. Autumn and I are going to head downtown after nap time to see about the ice sculptures and check out the Christmas lights. The man in the box.

Not really, it is just Autumn but saying the little girl in the box doesn't sound as cool. Autumn got in the box and was popping out of it. Then she told me, "Mommy, go that way." I think Autumn is on the tail end of this "cold." She already seems to be feeling better. Her nose is drying up, so that is good. I gave both of the girls a bath tonight, then I even got one! Emelia did something today that shocked me..... She rolled over. Of course that happened the day after you leave. Something else that waited for you to leave..... a 4.9 earthquake. It was the first time I've actually felt one since we moved to Alaska. It was, to say the least, scary to me! It did sound like a train/car/plane hit the house. Autumn was in rare form today. She told me that: She was going to take a nap on the stairs. Just kidding!! Such a sweet girl. Tomorrow we go to the Buckner gym for the first time with Emelia.
