Day 5- Spearfish, SD to Shelby, Montana

I got up and ran in the hotel at the gym. We got on the road and at the last minute, decided to stop and have lunch at Little Bighorn. Sean and I have been here before and the mood is very somber.

I don't really know my fascination with this, but I'm intrigued at being able to see where the troops died along the hill.

After eating our leftover pizza from the night before we got on the road again.

Still seeing very dark clouds around us, but very little in the way of rain. I do enjoy seeing the windmills.

At some point, I really start to struggle with staying awake, so I've started drinking red bull (which by the way, I would not normally ever do, but when you start drifting to sleep on the road, you have to do something). Somehow, I managed to get red bull in my eye when I was opening it. That burned, but yes, it sure did help me to stay awake.

After we get checked in to our hotel, we go for a walk and discover this little veterans memorial.

It really is a lovely view. We get back to the hotel and take the girls swimming, but it was a total mad house at the pool.

Autumn refuses to get in and after about 10 minutes or so, Millie is ready to go. Thank goodness.
