Who likes purses!!!!!!!!!!! Autumn walked all around the BX today clutching onto that purse. When she made it outside, She couldn't decide where it would be safest while she played... OK, I think it will be alright here. Doot doot dotadoot doot doot do doot.... Such a happy girl.

I should have known

it was only a dream, but it felt so real. If you closed your eyes, you would know exactly where we are based on smell alone, but as I open my eyes, I see the twinkling of Christmas lights hung from the rafters of a great big barn. There was a band up front playing some country tune, upbeat, and plenty of people on the wooden floor dancing to their hearts content. I wasn't sure why we were there and I did think it a little strange. The air was warm and humid, we had to be somewhere in the South. The band finishes up a song and without thinking, you place your hand on the small of my back and lead me where you want me to go. Once we get to the dance floor, I slide my hand along your waist, you grab my other hand gently, yet strongly and as easy as one, two, three we begin to slow dance. They were playing, "Sissy's Song." My heart grows sad, yet at the same time I feel enveloped by your strength and love. I feel safe in your arms. Nothing could ever harm us or c...

Sean and I have been waiting for a rainy day to take Autumn to the H2Oasis. It is this huge indoor water park here in Alaska. Thankfully, Cindy/Travis/Dylan came home on Saturday and with that, ended our sunny 80 degree weather. We woke up to clouds and rain, so we packed up a lunch (which we found out after we got there, no outside food, but we ate our food like criminals anyway!!) and headed over. It was difficult to get a good photo. The camera lens kept fogging up. This was the best I could get. After like four hours of Autumn working out her OCD by going down the same slide repeatedly, I told Sean I was ready to go home! We all took a nice family nap and when we woke up, it was time to educate Autumn about rock n' roll. I'm not talking about that sissy boy band crap they put out on the radio now, Autumn was rocking to some Jimi Hendrix, Motley Crue, and Alice in Chains. Autumn has great taste in music. She loves to dance to Jimi's Foxy Lady and Voo Doo Child....

Eat your heart out!

Today Autumn, Eli, Izabelle and I went to the Anchorage zoo. I'm not going to lie, the start of the ride was a little bit rough, but we managed and had a GREAT time! My little peas in a pod! Izzy fell asleep on the way to the zoo. Once we got there, every one was all smiles. My car said it was 80 degrees outside and boy pushing that stroller around, it sure did feel like it! Autumn and Iz rode in the stroller while Eli and I walked around. We pulled up to the Polar bear exhibit And look closely, that is the polar bear in the water. He must have felt especially hot! I don't think he had any intentions of getting out of the water today. We made our way around the zoo and finally found the coffee house so that we could sit down and enjoy: Story time. Ms Judy, the storyteller, was talking about red foxes. To help the children put everything together, Ms Mary came over with a little guy named Chance. Autumn and Izabelle immediately went to pet the puppy, who at the time was ...

84 is hot when you do not have A/C!

We've been really busy the last few days and really enjoying this weather. This is the best summer we've had so far. Today, Autumn and I invited my neighbors Eli (3.5) and Izabelle (2) to go to the concert on the lawn at the library. We packed a picnic and headed over to the library. Once we got there and got settled, Autumn was enjoying some goldfish out of a ziplock bag, when she dropped a few and before I knew it, the birds were after all the kids. It was somewhat comical. We danced and listened to the music and before long, all the kids were red faced and I knew it was time to call it a day. When we got home, Amber and I set the pool up in the front yard and brought out hot water from the house. OK, so what if it is 84, the water from the hose is like 40 degrees and it is COLD!!! We filled up the pool and let the kids have at it. Autumn was having a blast! I cannot tell you how many times she went down that slide! Eli and Izabelle were having a good time too! Eli is ...

Let's go fly a kite.

Our day started off like any other: Autumn doing something bad. We took the doors of the Jeep and pulled the roof back and decided we would take our fabulous $1 kite out to Kincaid and try to fly it. When we got to Kincaid, we sat down and ate our lunch, Autumn played at the playground for a little bit, but before I knew it, she was off! A woman on a mission I tell you. I'm not sure how many times a day I hear that from complete strangers. On our way to wherever Autumn was going, we picked up a random kid. His Dad kept telling him to come back, so we stopped and waited for him to catch up. This kid did not want to go back with his Dad, he wanted to walk with us. Autumn was staring at him with that rock in her hand and I was wondering if she was thinking about pelting him with it..... Checking out nature and thinking about who on Earth knows what. We decided we would head back towards the flat part so that we could try to fly our kite. Autumn had a funny look on her face as t...

Fun at the park.

Getting ready to go up. Going up. She did pretty good all on her own. She did need a little help. Autumn shocks me every day with the things she is willing to brave, but the older kids chicken out. Getting ready to go down the slide. Sean and Autumn. Static electricity. Autumn's new chair. She really seems to like it and I like that we got it on sale at REI. Autumn's biggest thing lately, is saying, "go"!! I love it. On her belly! So we are not 100% sure what we are doing tomorrow. Thinking about a bike ride. Anyway, hope everyone has a great Fourth of July. Just want to throw out there that we miss you Cindy, Dylan, Travis, Grandma + Grandpa Jordan.
