Let's go fly a kite.
Our day started off like any other:
Autumn doing something bad. We took the doors of the Jeep and pulled the roof back and decided we would take our fabulous $1 kite out to Kincaid and try to fly it.
When we got to Kincaid, we sat down and ate our lunch, Autumn played at the playground for a little bit, but before I knew it, she was off!
A woman on a mission I tell you. I'm not sure how many times a day I hear that from complete strangers.
On our way to wherever Autumn was going, we picked up a random kid. His Dad kept telling him to come back, so we stopped and waited for him to catch up. This kid did not want to go back with his Dad, he wanted to walk with us. Autumn was staring at him with that rock in her hand and I was wondering if she was thinking about pelting him with it.....
Checking out nature and thinking about who on Earth knows what.
We decided we would head back towards the flat part so that we could try to fly our kite. Autumn had a funny look on her face as they were walking through this part because she thought the tree branches were going to hit her.
We stopped by Reflection Point first and for some reason, this shot just struck me as strange. That is a whale skeleton over there- I thought it was interesting.
At the top of Reflection Point, Sean said he thought there was enough wind to fly the kite there, so we gave it a go.
After about two seconds, our kite was wrapped around our Autumn!!!
After a bunch of attitude.....
And a whole lot of fun, we headed home.
Sean made us ice creams and we headed to the backyard. Watching Autumn "eat" her ice cream was comical. Someone told her to set her ice cream:
In the sand box pegs. At one point, I looked over and she was bent over licking her ice cream while it sat in there. She finally decided to:
Pick it up, but her hands were a little sandy, so she felt it necessary to:
Wash them in my refreshing glass of water.
Although it may not look like she is enjoying her first ice cream cone, don't be fooled!!!
That is just the face she makes!!
Oh how she cried when we took that nasty ice cream cone away from her!! We had a wonderful day. Hope you all did too!!
