Our Little Princess.

Image
Tomorrow is picture day at Autumn's school. I picked the Princess background because I knew that the dress my mom sent would look really pretty with that. The only problem was that Autumn needed new dress shoes, so that is what we headed out to accomplish today. We ended up with these shoes that I found at Payless after I gave up on target. I can never find Autumn shoes in there! I'll be sure to take a picture of Autumn tomorrow before she goes to school so you can see what she looks like. Autumn wanted to show you her puzzle. I wanted to tell you that Miss Keri told me that she cried when she read Autumn's interview. I think even her teachers will be glad when you get home! In other news, I had to mow the grass today. Man, that is brutal. I just do not know what the answer is with our yard. I don't want to buy a "real" mower, but this method is so much work. When you get home, we have a lot of work to do in the yard. We have a lot of beds ...

Waiting on....

Nothing. It is so disappointing not to get a phone call, or a text or an email. I know it isn't anything you can control, but just the slightest hint that you are doing OK would really lift my spirits. Last night was an awful night of sleep. I think the brutal murder of all the spiders on the back porch was fresh on my mind and what if some of them try to exact their revenge on me? Autumn showed up to our room 4 or 5 times and by the 5th time (at about 1 am), I was simply too tired to walk her back to her room. At 230 am Millie woke up screaming, so I grabbed her and laid with her for about an hour on the couch and then put her back to bed. Needless to say, everyone was a little cranky this morning. We worked through it though. Autumn and Millie had yogurt for breakfast, then I got everyone dressed for the day. Took Autumn to school, came home and did my workout. Then Millie and I went to Walmart for cat food and TFM for the Pork tenderloin special (50% off). Grabbe...

Candle Lit Dinner.

I have had such a busy day today. Monday's usually are. I did all my housework (including the stuff I usually do on Tuesday's), I did my workout and this evening I cleaned the back porch. That was a lot of work. I'm hoping that it isn't a problem that I put bleach on the porch and scrubbed it. I don't know if it looks any better yet, because it is still drying. I can say this much, I sucked up about a million spiders off that back porch. One was so huge that I ended up spraying it with the water hose (so it probably didn't die), but I was too scared to try to get it with the shop vac! Sometime this morning I conducted Autumn's interview for her Star Student of the week project. In case you cannot see/read it. I'm going to type it out for you. 1. My name is Autumn and I am 4 years old. 2. My favorite color is: purple. My favorite food is: Spaghetti (I am willing to bet you also knew these answers!). 3. My favorite animal is: a giraf...

We need some relief!

For the first time since you left, I allowed myself to cry. I cannot help it. Sometimes I just miss you so much and it is so hard not being able to talk to you. I just know how much fun we would have all had this weekend if we were together. I'm willing to bet we'd have put something on the grill, sat back and relaxed and enjoy some wine or beer on the back porch. Autumn told me she was relaxing when I snapped this photo: Silly girl. That is her new swimsuit that I bought last year and she refused to wear. After I took Autumn's picture, she took mine. Brace yourself! I am WHITE! Millie's other sundress. She has been accident free today too! Does she look taller and thinner? Autumn wanted to show you this Lion she made at school. We've been alternating between coming in and going out. Eating ice cream, Autumn "made" Kool aid. Millie doesn't like wearing her swimsuit, so I kept her in her sundress and she just climbed right...

St Patty's Day

Image
I didn't get but maybe four hours of sleep last night. It is strange, I logged on to facebook when I couldn't sleep and I noticed that Spice, Lamaze, and Blum were all saying the same thing. Funny how that happens. I think I ended up getting about four hours of sleep. The girls slept well at least. They were letting me catch up on some news and I went to check on them and discovered: Do you see what they trapped in there? Autumn was beating that like it was some sort of drum. She wanted to show you her ladybug shirt. She also asked me today "Did the Leprechaun go back home?" I told her, yes! She seemed very relieved. Millie showing you her Toucan. She wore that to bed last night, but refused to change out of it this morning. I got everybody ready to go, we swung by and picked up your mom and then drove up to Jennifer and Brett's house. Jennifer invited your mom and I to a Pampered Chef party. Brett watched all the kids, by himself. I was fe...

New kicks.

If I thought yesterday was hot, it didn't have anything on today. 93 degrees. I wonder what sort of temperatures you are having. Millie has about outgrown her tennis shoes and we didn't seem to have any size 6 sandals around, so I headed out to Kohl's to find new shoes. Once I realized how hot it was going to be, I realized it is dumb to buy Millie sneakers. She gets hot feet, so why not just skip the sneakers for now and go straight to the sandals. Autumn found these shoes and Millie liked them! The butterfly strap that goes over the top of the foot lights up when she walks! I think these shoes will work great! These sorts of temperatures make it so that I do not want to cook, so we picked up some to go from Olive Garden. Autumn ate half my salad and then we all shared some fettuccine alfredo. It wasn't as good as home made, but it was nice to not heat the house up with cooking. I haven't turned the A/C on yet and thankfully the warmest temperatu...

IT'S HOT HOT HOT!

Image
This picture serves at least two purposes. For one, it marks the temperature, 88 degrees! Holy cow does that feel hot. Secondly, it should prove to you that I'm driving better with a 30.9 economy. I'm usually around 27 sometimes as low as 25. It's been kind of a busy day. This morning I did one workout with Autumn as my cheer leader: She was stretching with me. You should see her do jumping jacks, it is hilarious! Millie doing some serious stuff right there (she actually did pee in there too!). You have to keep a close eye on her though, because she tries to clean it up herself. This picture made me think of you. I need to go and get Millie some more clothes like this. I dropped Autumn off at school, came home, did my 2nd workout. Then did some work around the house. I think you should know that Millie is having less potty training accidents than Autumn is. Anyway, after that we picked Autumn up from school and I found out that Autumn will be the st...
