Waiting on....
Nothing. It is so disappointing not to get a phone call, or a text or an email. I know it isn't anything you can control, but just the slightest hint that you are doing OK would really lift my spirits.
Last night was an awful night of sleep. I think the brutal murder of all the spiders on the back porch was fresh on my mind and what if some of them try to exact their revenge on me?
Autumn showed up to our room 4 or 5 times and by the 5th time (at about 1 am), I was simply too tired to walk her back to her room. At 230 am Millie woke up screaming, so I grabbed her and laid with her for about an hour on the couch and then put her back to bed. Needless to say, everyone was a little cranky this morning. We worked through it though.
Autumn and Millie had yogurt for breakfast, then I got everyone dressed for the day. Took Autumn to school, came home and did my workout. Then Millie and I went to Walmart for cat food and TFM for the Pork tenderloin special (50% off). Grabbed Autumn from school, worked out again. We had a small lunch, salad. I made everyone take a nap, to include myself. I noticed Autumn was tired at last weeks practice, so nap time is mandatory on Tuesdays.
We worked on Autumn's star student project. Autumn picked some pictures to put on her star.
There is one of you, Autumn and Millie. We don't seem to have any pictures of me around here, so Autumn wrote my name out on one of the branches.
Square pants.
Silly Millie. Photo from last Easter.
You. Autumn really liked this picture of you. I hope you don't mind we cut it up a little bit. Above you are some goldfish. Autumn wanted to put them near you because she says, "daddy catches all the fish and helps me to catch fish."
Autumn was really gracious with Millie and let her help.
After project time, I met with your mom and dad in town for dinner and that was a really nice distraction and a really nice meal. The girls mostly behaved. Sometimes Autumn is really rude with your mom and dad and it really embarrasses me. We really need to work with her on that. I'm not sure why, but she kept telling your dad, "bad Grandpa."
After dinner we made our way to soccer practice.
Autumn had a pretty good practice, but about 15 mins before time was over she was crying and telling me her stomach hurt. A few minutes later, she told me she really had to go to the bathroom. I took her to the bathroom and that turns out what her problem was. She was tired too, even though I made her take a nap. Autumn is still really timid about going after the ball. The boys are so aggressive, I just hope as time goes by, she gets the hang of it.
Millie has been accident free for three days until TODAY. I think at dinner time I let Millie drink way too much! We stopped by the bathroom before we headed out to the field and I thought we would need to go again in the middle, but right when I was going to take Millie, they called for a water break and I didn't want to leave Autumn during a down time. By the time I realized Millie needed to go pee, it was too late. There is not a bathroom on the field. I got peed on! I will be so glad when you get home. I had to run on and off the field like three times and it really was a huge hassle! Anyway, I didn't fuss at Millie or anything because it really was my fault, but she has done really well all the rest of the time, to include nap time! Night time is another story, but I don't think she is really ready to have night time fluids limited. So I'm just not sure what to do with that. We will figure it out!
Looking forward to our first game this Saturday.
I miss you. I love you.

Day 19 without you.
