Soccer with cousins.
Yesterday was such a beautiful day. My car said it hit 82 degrees. After I picked Autumn up from school, we headed to Lake Bottom to play. I packed us a little lunch and blanket so that we could have a picnic in the park. After about an hour, Autumn told me that, "It was too hot! Can we just go home now please?" I think we may be in trouble this summer!
Autumn swinging Dylan bear.
Millie up to her usual.
Anything she can do, I can do better.
Holding hands.
Running. Don't they look small?
More swinging with Dylan bear.
After the park, we went over to the library. We had books due and I received a phone call that a book I placed on hold was ready to be picked up. I decided to use the outside dropoff (one (7) less things to carry into the library) outside the library. I placed the books in, gave them a good shove and next thing I know, Autumn is freaking out! She is crying and screaming at me, "WHY DID YOU THROW MY BOOKS IN THE GARBAGE!" I really had to explain to her that it wasn't the garbage and the only way I calmed her down was promising her some new books.
After the library, we came home and we all had a little nap. Then we headed over to the triplets soccer practice.
The girls and I played on the field while the triplets ate their dinner.
Autumn and Millie play so well together.
Millie kicking the ball.
Yes, at some point Autumn took her shoes off.
Autumn says, "Hi daddy. I want you to play puzzle pieces with me. Do you think my kiss made it to daddy?"
Finally the triplets made it over and the kids all ran around chasing each other and having a grand old time. Auutmn cried when I told her we needed to go home, the triplets practice was getting ready to start. I think I know why Coach Billy didn't want to put us on the same team now. The triplets coach has twins on the team, Jennifer & Brett have the triplets. If one family gets sick, they are going to be scrambling trying to find players or just cancel the game.
Anyway, we headed home. I was shocked to get a phone call from you. Did you know that shortly after we hung up, my mom called and Millie flipped out, demanding to talk on the phone, she thought it was you. I had to hand her the phone so she could hear that it wasn't your voice on the other line. It was really quite sad.
Autumn went to bed right on time, but Millie stayed up until almost 9 pm. We are on the tail end of whatever this thing is we have this time! We've been home all day today, lounging around in our pj's and watching TV. I'm considering picking up something for dinner because I don't feel like cooking tonight, but I just don't know. We shall see.
I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. I wish that you didn't have to be away from us. I hope that things are going OK out in the field. I love you and miss you very much.
Come home soon!
