Windy.
It has been so windy today. I was going to take the girls to the lake to feed the ducks and geese, but I can hear the wind battering the house and decided we'd stay in and feed the birds another day.
Last night the girls and I went to see The Lorax. I thought it ran a little long, but we all enjoyed it. There was a little girl sitting next to Autumn and I swear she reminded me of a character on Friends. You remember the episode where Joey's girlfriend kept punching people? Well this little 5 year old girl was going back and forth between punching Autumn in the arm and then her Grandpa. Not in a mean way or anything, but definitely in an annoying way. Finally, and not very quietly, Autumn says to her, "Why are you punching me?" Her grandfather fussed at her, but she still did it a few more times. I don't think she could even control it! Anyway, the movie was a little preachy, about the environment, but I mostly agreed with their point- don't be so wasteful and plant some trees.
I wish you could have been there at the movies with us. Autumn was laughing so hard that people were staring at us. It made all the little kids around us start to laugh too. It is hard to know if they were laughing at or with Autumn, but she didn't take notice. She would repeat some of the funny lines and just laugh so loud. It really was cute.
We made it home just after bed time and the girls went right down with no problems. We were all tired. Autumn stayed in her bed last night! Millie woke up first this morning, which is unusual. I got to hang out with her for just a bit and then Autumn was up.
I made myself a salad for lunch and of course that is a go to meal with these chicks. They love salad!
Miss Millie. I think she believes you are in the phone. I told her I was taking a picture for you and she was saying hi. It was really cute. Miss Millie has been asking after you and peeking through the windows for you today. It reminds me of when Autumn was little. Autumn has been telling Millie though that you are gone for work.
Apparently I didn't put enough "white soup" on Autumn's salad. I do not know why she calls it that, but it is what it is.
Cheesing for you.
Autumn has discovered making letters with her blocks. She walks up to me and tells me this is the letter "u".
Lastly,
Millie is obsessed with wearing Autumn's clothes. That is Autumn's shirt and Autumn's socks. She was OK with the pants because they were "munk mees."
Hope things are going well on your side of the country.
