That which we manifest is before us.
That is a line from a book I am reading and it really struck a chord with me. I think it will be my new mantra. It is easy for me to believe it too. I see the way the girls react and respond almost mimicking my actions and how they learn how to respond in future situations and this is what I know.
1. I want them to respond with open minds.
2. I want them to respond with open hearts.
3. I want to be happy.
4. I want my girls to be happy.
I'd say that most of the time, I do feel happy. I'm not sure I always show it with my face, but generally speaking, with my heart, I do feel happy. I need to make it more apparent with my face!
I think I am finally settling into this whole mom thing. I was unhappy for awhile because (and your favorite thing to hear) "I don't GET to work." The trade off is so much better. I get to spend a lot of time with the girls while they are so young and so much fun.
I love hearing Autumn and Emelia play, sing, dance, tell each other secrets, tell me secrets. This picture of our life I have created in my mind, is for the most part, a great place to be. One of my only wishes would be that you could be around more too.
So, I have this video of Emelia singing the "happy song", as the girls call it.
I know you won't be able to hear it anytime soon, but you'll catch up when you get home. I think it is really funny listening to Emelia sing that song.
I haven't posted since Autumn's birthday, so here are some photos of her special day.
Can I eat it now? SHHHH!!! She picked a few M&M's off before the festivities began.
The birthday girl.
Autumn took this photo.
Singing Happy Birthday.
Sean cutting the birthday cake. Let me tell you, that was not easy!
Autumn's cousin, Mr. Alex.
Autumn's cousin, Mr. Bo.
Autumn's cousin, Miss Anna (and Grandma Jordan aka spider house Grandma in the background. I'm sure Grandma Jordan isn't going to be happy about this photo, but it was the only one I got of Anna, so sorry Grandma Jordan!).
Opening presents.
Getting a little help from Alex. That gift was from Great Grandma Emily and was a Strawberry Shortcake Remote Control Car. It was a huge hit with Autumn and we thank you Grandma Emily.
The monkey picture I painted for Autumn.
In other news, I have decided that it is time for me to purchase new
Running shoes. I'll be heading out to do that when the girls wake up from their naps.
I also found this picture and thought it was too cute not to share:
Emelia enjoying some upper 70 degree weather in late February. It sure does feel strange.
Miss Emelia says hi to you. She fixed her hair all by herself. Can you tell?
Autumn is blowing you kisses, all the way to NTC. She said she was sorry for being a grouch at you this morning.
Autumn took this picture of me. I didn't really want to share it because I had just finished my insanity workout, but ce la vie!
We were doing some kind of workout move here and it quickly turned into:
A Millie smash!
Missing you already and wishing you were here for some Millie mashing!
Your Current wife and favorite airman. xoxo
