Problem Solving.
It wasn't very long ago that I discovered Emelia figured out how to climb out of her bed. We are not even halfway through this month of you being away and I knew that it wasn't a problem I was going to be able to ignore. One of my good friends (in Florida, her name is Johnna) suggested that I just simply put the mattress on the floor. At first, I didn't really like that idea, but just a few days later, I've bumped into a few problems.
1. Millie can climb out of her bed, but not back in. Honestly, I don't mind if she walks around her room all night long, as long as she stays in there, but she cannot go back to sleep if she doesn't remember to toss "me me" or Barney out of the crib first. Most of the time, she remembers to chuck Barney out, but "me me" almost always is left behind!
2. I walked into Millie's room yesterday morning and caught her in the death defying act of flinging herself from her crib and it was really scary! I do not want the girl to be injured.
So, my dear friend Johnna, your whole idea of putting the mattress on the floor has become more and more appealing with each passing day.
Finally, today, I took the bookcase (that was in Autumn's room) out of Millie's room and put it in the playroom. I took Millie's mattress and all her things out of her crib and she:
slept like a baby.
I wanted you to be able to see this better, so when she woke up, I went back to get a new picture. When you get home, we'll set her bed up on the other wall, but that seemed like a good a place as any!
Millie was quite happy and very excited about being able to get in and out of her bed as she wished. I guess this is a good thing, especially considering we are potty training again. Millie is doing quite well with that. She has been diaper free during most of the day (minus nap time, I've been putting a pull up on her) and mostly accident free! Millie likes to get her treat for using the potty. Tomorrow we are going to try going out of the house without a diaper and see what happens!
So today I have been busy cleaning. You know, typical Monday for me. Autumn was doing her thing! Can you see that dirty look she is giving me?
I got the floors all done, which takes up most of my morning! All the laundry. I did my workout, which was really hard because I still don't feel so well. I'm concerned that I have developed a really bad addiction to caffeine. I broke the French Press sometime last week and ran out of instant coffee. I've been without my morning cup of coffee now for four days. I have been getting horrendous headaches, particularly in the late evening. I will probably go and replace the French Press sometime this week and I guess that will tell me if that is what caused the headaches, but holy cow! I just want to feel better!
Anyway, I had more cleaning to do:
Yep! Millie climbs out of the bath now too. She runs all around crazy, wet, and eventually falls on the tile, but she doesn't seem to learn her lesson.
Does that face just scream BAD GIRL!!!
One last picture of the girls for you. Autumn was giving Millie a kiss. They can be so sweet to each other sometimes. Their conversations get funnier by the day. I cannot wait until you get back home and get to listen in on them.
Lastly, I just wanted to let you know that these guys:
Have taken over your side of the bed. That is my nook, on your pillow. I've been falling asleep to King of the Hill. I put it on really low and I'm alseep before one show is even over!
Hope you are sleeping well and are warm.
I love you and miss you so much.
