It was a busy, beautiful, and dirty day!!
I'm going to let the photos do most of the talking today.
Sean and Autumn at Kincaid Beach.
Me and Autumn-it was in the upper 50's/lower 60's while we were at the beach and it felt just wonderful.
Autumn the explorer.
Daddy's little girl.
The sun was just glorious. I am so glad we were able to take advantage of it today.
After the beach, we went to Costco and bought Autumn a new:
Bathing suit!!
We turned the sprinkler on and set our little girl off to go through it, which she obliged:
Getting a little wet. However, I cannot say that she enjoyed it.
She started crying. I got her calmed down though. We turned the sprinkler down a bit, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't like 35 degree water!
After our fun in the sprinkler, we decided to go for a ride in the Jeep with the top off. Now that I am sitting here typing this, I suppose I should tell you, I made a very big mistake in suggesting this to Sean. I should have specified that we would like to go on a "clean" Jeep ride. We shall delve into that a wee bit later. Let me show you what happened before the dirty ride.
We stopped by a wildlife viewing area at Fort Richardson. Autumn was very intrigued at the waterside:
We spent quite sometime at this spot while Autumn was just mesmerized by the rushing water.
We got Autumn to wear her sunglasses for a record 3.4 seconds!
Sitting at the dock of the bay. I cannot get over how much love I have in my heart for these two people, but I digress. One thing Autumn "inherited" from me is the ability to not pay attention to anything while walking, therefor falling/tripping/stepping into unpleasantries (I believe I just made that word up). Case in point:
My fellow Alaska readers know exactly what Little Miss Autumn is standing in, but for anybody/everybody else-that is Moose scat!!!! EWWWWWW!!!!!
So now that we have completed our lovely family walk, we head back to the Jeep and hit some of the off roading trails. We get to this one point where there is a lot of water and mud. I really did not think much of it- the Jeep is a very impressive off road vehicle and Sean is a very skilled driver. 20 minutes later, when we finally get through the mud puddle, we look like this:
Crying, muddy Autumn.
Muddy Sean (yes that is mud on his head-it went all in the Jeep, on the seats/car seats/my hair, Autumn's hair, uh head.... every where!!!!!!).
The JEEP.
It was a bit over the top.
Our muddy little family.
So overall, a very exciting day. I know a lot of pictures-sorry about that (not really). Anyway, I'd love to leave you with my favorite photo shot from today.
...and I do my little turn on the catwalk.
