2 month check up
Emelia had her two month check up today and here is the "skinny".....
Emelia weighed 14 pounds 4 ounces (97th percentile) and was 24.5 inches long (97th percentile). Most of you know that Emelia has a strange thing on her belly button (it has been there since the stump fell off), I haven't been very concerned about it since it doesn't smell bad, bleed or seem to bother her in anyway, but the doctor today said she would need to go to a pediatric surgeon to have it removed.
The doctor wasn't really sure what exactly it is, so hopefully it can be removed easily!
This past weekend has been very busy. We dropped Grandma and Grandpa Jordan off at the airport on Friday evening. It was sad and there was some crying involved; saying goodbye is hard to do.
We decided we needed some cheering up, so we went for a hike out at Archangel Valley.
Emelia drove us there.
Mom, did you really just say that? Yes, yes I did.
I'm pretty sure that if I could get in that mind of hers, she would be saying this, "These people are crazy. I wonder if I can escape?"
Back to the hike.....
The dam.
The view. Nice and cloudy (at least it wasn't raining or snowing for that matter).
We happened upon a watering hole. I wonder who got all kinds of excited about that?
Yep.... Autumn. We all know what she is thinking right now.
I just love those little blond curls.
While out hiking, we ran into some climbers. Here they are getting ready.
You'll have to look hard, he is about halfway up.
Zoomed out, but he is in the same spot. That looks like a lot more fun than what we are currently dealing with.
What a sad face. She was upset that we left the watering hole.
It didn't take long to cheer her up though.
Autumn's version of rock climbing.
You know, where her dad does all the work.
This was part of the trail. Thankfully, I didn't fall in this time around! That water is glacial water and it is COLD.
Autumn the hiker. She didn't notice the dirt on her jeans (that would have been another crying session since she doesn't like to be dirty).
I didn't notice when I took the picture, but I think that must be the sun reflecting off the water. It was beautiful and mostly quiet up there.
Smack in the middle is a ground squirrel. He was fussing at us something fierce to get away from his home.
Overall, a worthwhile hike. I cannot wait to go back.
The Jordan's.
