Mussels on the half shell
You may have noticed that I am behind! We've been busy.....
Making and eating cupcakes.
Still working on perfecting my cupcake recipe. My frosting recipe couldn't get any better... too bad I'm not a skilled decorator though. Sean ate this cupcake when it was clearly intended for Autumn (hence the A in sparkles, but Sean didn't know that was an A).
We had mussels. It was the second time I'd ever had them and the first time Sean has ever cooked them. I enjoyed them immensely although it was a little creepy to me.
Autumn played with her mussels.
She wouldn't eat them though.
The mussels were just an appetizer, the main course was:
Coq au vin. A favorite in our house.
We went to a birthday party palooza at my friend Samantha's. She has twin daughters who turned two and an older daughter who turned four. She threw them all one big birthday bash.
Autumn had a wonderful time.
She especially enjoyed the balloons and I enjoyed the adult company.
Emelia enjoyed all the attention she received at the party.
Autumn had just fallen down right next to her and she was still looking a little worried when I snapped this photo. Her facial expressions crack me up!
But she is such a sweet girl.
Autumn looking on.
Look at that beautiful birthday cake! Homemade and it was delicious. It had 3 different tiers and three different flavors. Autumn and I devoured the strawberry layer.
Autumn was very much into opening all the presents and checking them out for the girls.
Autumn really wanted to go outside, but the weather just hasn't been cooperating.
Tomorrow there will be pictures from the air show here on Elmendorf. I'll be caught up before too long.
The Jordan's.
