I've been everywhere man
Today marks 31 consecutive days of rain. BOO! This summer has been a wet and cold one. Thankfully, the girls and I have been managing quite well. It doesn't rain all day long and most times it is just a drizzle. In any case, we found ourselves downtown to check out a botique called Alaska Cake Studio. I have a mixed review about the cupcakes. I bought 3 different kinds (at $3 a piece) and 2 of 3 cupcakes were unsatisfactory in my opinion. I am not sure if they were having an off day or something, but the only cupcake that really blew my mind was the banana bread cupcake. It was very moist and just extremely tasty.
Autumn, on the other hand, had a different opinion, and here we go!
Which one should I pick?
That one.
Peaches N' Cream.
Going for the bite.
Time to work on my lollipop.
Poor Emelia, she doesn't even know what she is missing.
I do believe I have created a monster.
Exactly what a sugar high will do to you!
Isn't that right Emelia?
Now she is working on a cookie. Let us review. First was a cupcake (peaches n cream), then another cupcake (Lemonade), then a lollipop and now a cookie!!!
One day Emelia, one day.
Once we were done in the botique, we bumped into some real Alaskan folks that told us there was a concert in the park down the road, so we made our way towards the park.
First we had to stop to check out the flowers.
Autumn still with her lollipop.
Emelia checking out the flowers.
Whilst checking out the flowers, we noticed a small dog.
An Alaskan husky puppy part of the Wild Ride Sled Dog Show.
What a cute puppy. She started to fall asleep while just sitting there.
We got to the park, but the band didn't make it. No worries, the organizers had music they put out over the speakers. Autumn and I were checking out that tree.
Look at the devilish face!
It's easy to pick out the Alaskans from the tourists.
That lollipop went everywhere with us (including in her hair, in my hair) and I think if I would have allowed it, to bed with Autumn.
I forgot how quaint downtown can be. I generally try to avoid it, but this was a great day!
Today is my sister Sarah's birthday, so to my little sister, I love you, miss you and hope you have a great day!!
The Jordan's.
