Can daddy be my husband?
Oh I wish it could work that way because then I could always be assured she would be well loved and well cared for. Yes, your daughter Autumn asked me last night the following:
Autumn: When you and daddy were getting married, did he give you flowers?
Cherish: Yes he did.
Autumn: That is so sweet. Can daddy be my husband?
Since I blogged last night, Millie has had such a rough time. Autumn and Millie were in Autumn's room and Autumn was tossing her stuffed animals about. I asked her to stop and then continued on with what I was doing (straightening up). A few minutes later Autumn comes running out screaming, "emergency! Emergency! Blood!" I run to Autumn's room not knowing what on earth I was going to find and Millie is laying face down in the middle of Autumn's bed. She lifts her head up and blood starts squirting everywhere. It was coming from her mouth and it took me a few seconds to figure out if it was coming from her tongue, teeth, lips. It was her bottom lip.
Autumn threw her dreamlite turtle and it smacked Millie right in the face. I took Millie to the kitchen and grabbed ice and put it in a ziploc bag and had her hold it to her lip. I went back to Autumn's room and took the blanket off the bed and started to treat it and wash it. I overheard Autumn asking Millie to please forgive her. Autumn felt so terrible. She even told Millie that Millie could tuck her in with a hug AND a kiss. You know Autumn does not like Millie kisses.
This morning, everyone wakes up and I give Autumn her breakfast and Millie asks for milk. A few minutes after drinking some of her milk, I hear her coughing. I hear noises that tell me she is getting ready to "spill it." I picked her up and ran for the kitchen and thankfully we made it to the sink just in time. She threw up. Millie asked me if she choked and I told her no, she threw up. Millie has never thrown up before, she didn't even know what was happening.
After throwing up, Millie told me she felt better. About an hour later we took Autumn to school. On the way home from school, Millie starts just power puking all over the car. She was starting to freak out about it. She kept saying that her coat was ruined. I told her to look at me. I told her it was OK, not to look at it we would get her all cleaned up at home. She said, "can I have a bath." Yes, yes you will have a bath. She must have thrown up about 4 times in the car. We pulled in to the garage and I stripped her down to her panties. Poor girl, it was cold outside. Throw up got all over her hair. She was still distraught about her blanket, coat and dress. I got Millie in the bath and got the throw up off her and let her play in the bath while I tried to clean up my car and the seat.
Now I am feeling queasy and hopes that the throw up this morning was just a fluke completely diminished.
I called your mom and told her I was going to need her to sit with Millie while I went to get Autumn. I don't have another car seat and the school will not put Autumn in the car without one.
I left Millie's seat outside in the sun/fresh air to dry. I got Millie dressed and we headed to the store to get some supplies (and pick up our Disney tickets). The ITT office was out of tickets, so we got our groceries and came home. Millie fell asleep on the way home and stayed asleep when I moved her to the couch. Your mom came over and I left for Autumn.
When Autumn saw the car she flipped out. She wanted to know specifically where the throw up had been and she must have confirmed with me four times that there was not any throw up in her seat.
After getting home, your mom left (I don't blame her one bit!) and Millie was still asleep. I did my Monday chores while Autumn watched Netflix. Millie woke up and cried for milk. I told her no she couldn't have milk. Millie cried for you. It was sad. I gave her some pedialyte. Within 5 minutes orange pedialyte was all over the carpet in the playroom. I cleaned Millie up and the floor. Autumn told Millie, "Millie, you cannot touch me. Or come near me. How about if you just stay in another room." It made me laugh so hard!
Autumn requested to take a bath, so I scrubbed the bathroom down and let the girl take a bath.
By now Millie has not held down any liquids today. I gave her some water, just a little bit about 4 pm and so far, two hours later, she hasn't puked again. About a half hour later she had about a half cup of water and requested to go to the bathroom. Peeing is good. Millie has fallen asleep again on the couch. Likely she will end up with me tonight. I'm not sending her to school tomorrow. I am praying that Autumn doesn't catch what Millie has and hopefully I don't get it either. I need to reassemble the car seat tonight because I know I won't want to do it in the morning.
So there you have it. Our throwing up day in a nutshell. Millie sure knows how to do it now. Poor girl.
I Love you.
