Sorry about last night.
By the time we got home from church, I just did not feel like getting on the computer. Do you ever feel tied down by the computer? I do at times. I do have some photos to share with you although I'm pretty sure you saw them already.
Tuesday, we had a really big storm come through. It didn't last very long, but it was a strong wind/rain storm. The power glitched off and on a few times. About 15 minutes after the storm, the sun was out. I told the girls we should go outside and see if there was a rainbow anywhere.
I noticed our garbage can and our neighbors (the old people across the street) can had blown all over. I picked ours up and then theirs when I noticed,
The Hawaiians' trampoline in the empty lot next to their house. It blew right over their 6 foot privacy fence! I'm telling you, that was a serious storm. There have been lots of trees knocked over (a bunch on Fall Line Trace too).
Last night I noticed that the thermostat was saying Aux on it. I'm not sure how long that has been happening and I wasn't sure how to make it stop. I know if you are using "emergency" heat though, it will run your electric bill up like nobody's business. I have a feeling it did that during the power outage. Anyway, I grabbed the manual on the thermostat but nothing showed me how to make the auxiliary heat turn off. Finally this morning I tried flipping the breaker and it worked. I hope we don't end up with some sort of crazy electric bill next month. That would make me totally mad!
They had so much fun bouncing around in the rain.
This may very well be my new favorite picture of Autumn. She asked me if I liked to splash around in the puddles when I was little and I told her that I did, but my mom wouldn't let me. She asked me why and I told her there were two reasons that came to mind. 1. "You might catch a cold." 2. "You might get worms." I love my mom to death, but I'm so glad I can be the mom that lets my girls run a muck after a rainstorm.
I finally got Millie to sleep in her bed last night for the whole night. She has been sleeping with me since her throwing up episode on Monday. I slept like a rock without her!
Nothing really special planned for today. Both the girls are at school. I've been playing video games.
I love you.

The count: 118 and 125 days of splashing about the rain puddles without you.
