Exercise, Exercise, EXERCISE!
I've been trying to get back into shape. We all got sick around the time Mr Frank died (Nov 3rd) and we've been coughing, snotting and generally miserable every since then! I've decided over the last few weeks that sick or not, if it isn't raining and above 50 degrees, I'm going outside!
Sean and Autumn hopped on their bikes and off they went. Autumn did fantastic! The last time I tried this with her, I'm not kidding you here, she went about ten feet and said, "I'm done!" So, I wasn't expecting much! She did two miles! Atta girl!!
Millie on the other hand kept escaping the jogger, she wanted to walk, but she wasn't being safe. She would walk all over the trail that is also a bike path. I didn't want her to get run over, so I had to strap her in and she screamed the whole way back to the car!
So today, at the start of my 6 mile venture, I thought ahead of time!
That is right, our portable DVD player. Millie rocked the Barney while I rocked the 6 miles. Vanessa, Troy and Todd meet me out on the trail and we walked together. It was a great distraction from "working out!" I'm hoping she can meet up with me regularly.
Besides getting our exercise, we've been trying to get a lot of sunshine. So many visits to the park recently!
Millie still practicing her one eye.
Even Grandma and Grandpa made it out to some of our park outings!
Millie's been having a rough time with her face. She keeps falling and busting into things. In the past few weeks, she has had a handful of particularly nasty spills (where she ends up losing skin on her face), bloody noses, and scratches on her face. I will be so glad when we can get her to the specialist and start getting her seeing correctly.
Last night I made Spicy Lemon Garlic Shrimp over Spaghetti Noodles. The girls just ate the noodles! It was really good and so easy. While I cooked dinner, the girls played
In Millie's bed. On the one hand, I would really prefer they do not play in Emelia's bed, but on the other hand, I got dinner cooked without being harassed!
Waiting for you!
