Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes!!
I guess I'll start with last night.
When I went to get in bed, I found:
Millie's husband.
She told me that I should have him for company, but that when my real husband comes home, she'll take him back.
This morning, since I knew we wouldn't be going to church, I took the opportunity to sort through closets and drawers as well as declutter.
I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but doing that sort of "work" is challenging when the children are present and "helping"....
I wish I had taken before pictures.
The tops of the girls closets are still cluttery looking, but I suppose I will sort that out later.
Both girls collect so much junk.
Autumn has a ton of rocks stashed in her dresser.
I've learned my lesson about throwing them away, but at some point, they will be relocated.
Millie's room was a beast.
Between the girls, I have a trash bag full of clothes to give to Jennifer and from Millie's room only, I filled two trash bags with...
TRASH.
That is crazy!!
I almost was caught too.
I'm currently hiding a trash bag in a closet until I can sneak it out later.
I've decided to store Millie's shoes in her old changing table.
It keeps more of the floor clear.
After taking care of the closets, I called REI.
REI had one bike, but it was a floor model and he said he needed to check something and call me back.
He checks and says they do have one in the box ready to be assembled, but they can only hold until the end of the business day.
What if I buy it?
We'll hold it as long as you like if you buy it.
I called the other REI, they did not have it.
Not even a floor model.
I call the first REI back and purchased the bike.
I'll go get it sometime soon.
After that was all done, Millie asked me to take a picture
Of her drawing.
Then, while I was running around taking care of things, I see Millie doing this:
I swear, she looks like the 80s threw her up.
Muscles.
My friend Brandy (not your ex-girlfriend, but MY girlfriend) is out of town on a cruise.
I told her that I would go over to her house sometime while she was gone and pick her ripe vegetables.
She has a pretty decent size garden and didn't want her tomatoes going to waste.
The girls and I also wanted to get out of the house.
ON the way over, a pretty significant storm came through, but by the time I got to Brandy's house, it was sunshine and rainbows.
Of course it was thundering, which sent Autumn straight to the car.
Tomatoes, jalapenos and squash.
Cherry tomatoes.
All my tomatoes, including some from my own plant.
I have 26. I snagged one more off our plant this evening.
I'm going to be making salsa tomorrow.
I think that is too many tomatoes for just salsa.
I think I need to make some spaghetti sauce or something.
I can freeze it instead of can it.
My jalapeno is finally producing.
The watermelon is looking as cute as ever.
Well, that is all I have for you today.
