Millie's Reaction.
The girls were out swimming in the pool this evening while I was cooking dinner.
I told them when it was time to get out and to go and get changed for church.
I noticed something small and red on Millie's face.
A few minutes later,
It is even bigger.
Millie? Did you burn your face?
Millie: No.
Did something bite you? Did you fall?
Millie: No. What is the matter?
There is something on your face. It looks kind of like a burn.
I have no idea what was happening, but it was not hurting her, but it just kept getting bigger and bigger.
By the time I got her benadryl, the redness was getting all the way to her mouth, down her chin.
I gave her benadryl.
15 minutes later. It looks like this.
At church, I spoke with Liz, the kids choir director and a nurse.
She says it is definitely an allergic reaction and asks me how much benadryl I gave her.
I showed her.
We think this was a reaction to a mosquito bite.
I hope this is not how she reacts every time she is bit by a mosquito.
She has never done that before, so it was really shocking to me.
Liz told me to give her more bendaryl at bedtime, but Millie was already so tired and her face looked completely normal to me.
I'm going to check on her before I go to sleep.
I have some more pictures to share with you from yesterday.
I love this photo Mrs Kathy took (Millie's teacher last year).
Millie at school today. She wore her new Anna dress that Autumn gave her for her graduation gift.
My very own Anna and Elsa.
A silly photo of Autumn from the graduation.
Millie and Eli (Millie loves Eli, but Eli loves Millie too).
Millie told me when she saw this picture of the two of them that they looked married.
HUSH your mouth girl!!
Millie and Isaac.
Millie and Douglas (this is the boy Millie will count for).
Millie loves Douglas too, but I'm not so sure the feeling is mutual.
I think Millie bosses him around and he does what she says.
This Douglas reminds me of someone I know....
Millie and Mrs Keri.
Millie is already talking about missing Mrs Keri.
Tomorrow is the last day of school for Millie.
Our garden lights.
The girls love them.
OK, that is all I have for you tonight.
Tomorrow is going to be a little hectic.
I probably won't be near my phone in the morning.
I sent you an email about the Knox guy.
I love you.
Your current wife and favorite airman. xoxo
