Cheese! Butternut Squash.
Last night we had salad and pizza for dinner.
So glad our children eat salad and pizza too!
Millie mostly ate cheese and croutons.
This morning when I walked in my bathroom, I found this. I guess Millie was sending me a message.... This is where you can find your cinnamon roll later.
I was trying to get a picture of all three of us this morning, but Millie kept closing the door, ringing the door bell and saying "DELIVERY!" So, she is sort of in the picture. Do you see who else is hanging out with us? Gary Bider!!
Me and Silly Millie, almost ready for church.
OK, here are both the girls and all ready! They went into class together and we didn't see your mom or dad at church this morning. They must have gone out or something.
After Millie took her nap, Autumn wanted to help me make dinner.
Oh yes, very helpful girl right there.
She is so goofy.
I prepared the squash (slippery), the onion (too stinky), but Autumn took care of the garlic. She told me, "my daddy already showed me how to do this."
She did very well.
Autumn wanted to take my picture.
Wearing our aprons.
Autumn has two healthy fears.
1. She is afraid of being burned by the stove. She will not go near it unless I am right there. That is a good thing.
2. Before I handed her my chef knife, we discussed knife safety. Autumn explained to me that "if you aren't careful, where you have a finger, you won't anymore." OK, excellent point Autumn.
Millie wanted to get in on all the cooking action too!
Autumn said that I needed to get another picture that showed my apron better.
So Millie got her apron, I helped her put it on and then we mostly watched Autumn finish up her soup. Millie was also afraid of being burned and I watched them both very carefully.
The finishing touches. All that is left is to blend it into a soup and I'll have to do that.
Tonight is Pajama night at AWANA and Autumn says she wants to wear her tinkerbell PJs. We will be headed out shortly for that. I love you and I miss you so much.
Your current wife and favorite airman. xoxo
The count: 114 days of wanting to cook for you.
