Minnie ears.
Day two of our adventure finds Autumn
As the man in the box. She was making the room key stick to the glass and fall down on her and for some reason, this was very entertaining.
Admiring the Orlando sunrise.
One of the dilemmas of sleeping in a hotel is taking a shower or going to sleep and making sure no one escapes.
The solution? Rearranging the furniture. I know that wouldn't stop an extremely determined Autumn or Emelia, but it would at least slow them down.
We ate breakfast at the hotel (since it was free) and then got showered up and ready for the day.
We killed time in the hotel room waiting for checkout.
The girls were drawing pictures and watching cartoons.
This picture made me extremely sad. When I asked her why you were crying she said, "because my daddy misses me." It just serves as a reminder that no matter where we go, or what we are doing, there is a sadness in our hearts.
About 1030 we started loading up the car.
The girls helped of course. Millie used her magic wand and Viola! The bags were in the car.
We checked out and headed over to downtown Disney. Now Autumn is really starting to take notice. She pointed out the Mickey shaped signs and wanted to know if we were at Disney Junior. She answered herself by saying, "we cannot be at disney junior, my daddy is not home and I'm not fibe" (or five).
Nevertheless, the girl was super excited.
We started to make our way into the shopping area when Autumn saw the waterfall and
dinosaurs. She decided that we would have to come back and visit this since you like dinosaurs.
Autumn also made the decision that we would have to eat here.
I wasn't convinced though, it was the first place we walked by, I wanted to check out some other places first.
The lego dragon.
We stopped into the World of Disney store and I'm pretty sure we spent 40 minutes in there. Autumn wanted everything! We ended up buying nothing. We started getting grouchy, so we headed back to T-Rex to eat.
Autumn liked the octopus.
As much as she liked the restaurant, it scared her too.
I think Millie just thought it was neat.
We finally made it to our table and every so often there was a meteor shower and the entire restaurant came to life. Millie thought it was cool, but Autumn was afraid.
She came and sat with me a bit and then decided, "Mom, you don't have to be scared. It is just robots."
The girls had a pizza, that they ate all of and I had a salad.
My favorite part was when the ice cave turned red.
Once we finished lunch, my friend Johnna told me to meet her at her hotel, the yacht club.
The girls had a blast in there.
It is a pretty hotel.
We met Johnna in the lobby and then headed out for an expedition.
It was bright, sunny and hot.
It was time for an ice cream stop.
The girl said she only wanted water, so I ordered a root beer float and a water. Madelyn got chocolate ice cream with sprinkles that she shared with Millie. When she tried to share with Autumn, Autumn said, "You shouldn't share your food, it spreads germs." She would not eat it! It made me laugh.
We went back to Johnna's room and changed into our swimsuits and put on our sunblock then headed for the pool.
Couldn't ask for a happier Autumn.
Hi Johnna!
I didn't bring Millie's float in, so she really just hung out on the side of the pool.
Shark Autumn.
Luke, Mindy's son.
We were there until 5 pm or so. We changed clothes and headed over to the condo. We ate dinner (Mindy cooked it) and then around 8 pm or so, Mindy and Tim headed out for the night to do their Tower of Terror Ten Miler.
I babysat the 5 children. Autumn and Millie knocked out right after 8 pm. Shortly before 10 pm, the twins and Luke knocked out. Mindy told me to leave them on the couch, so I did. I put the chain on the front door and went to bed. Mindy and Tim got in about 3 am. I woke up to let them in, chatted about the race (Tim finished like 150 something out 8000 finishers... not bad!).
It was a nice day.
Now fast forward to today, October 2nd.
A random picture I took for Julie. She is going to sew me something for the laundry room and needed to see what the theme/color/decorations were in there. This completely cracks me up!
Autumn built a castle.
Millie insisted on wearing her Minnie ears to school.
I could tell the girls were tired and probably could of stayed home and slept, but it was a school day.
I dropped them off and then went to get milk, your beer and several other things.
We had Parmesan crusted chicken, blues clues and asparagus for dinner.
The girls loved it.
Your current wife and favorite airman. xoxo
The count: 102 days of the yacht club without you. I think I could live there.
