Her first patch.
Autumn was so excited to earn a patch from AWANA. She asked me, "Do you think daddy will be proud?"
Here it is. Autumn is really worried about getting the patch on her vest. I told her we would worry about it after Thursday.
Showing you her cubby book. She didn't want to show her face (I think because of the sun).
Arghhhh matey. Uh, Millie? Maybe that isn't such a good idea? "Sick eye." Awwww! She knows that is her bad eye. It made me so sad.
This is from yesterday. Autumn ended up wearing her Dora pjs for AWANA night.
Riding bikes in the house is so much fun!
Autumn seemed happy to go back to school. I'll admit, she was a little reluctant. It was thunder storming this morning and she wanted to stay in bed, but so did I.
When we went to Florida, our plants had a rough time. There wasn't anyone here to feed them. I sort of figured the pickle plant was a lost cause. It hadn't produced anything yet, so I thought, well, we tried. Can you imagine my surprise when I walked outside today and found:
A PICKLE (Cucumber). Autumn was so freaking excited it was ridiculous. She told Grandma and Grandpa all about it. She kept asking to see the picture of it while we were out to dinner with your mom and dad.
I called Julie up to talk to her about the text message she sent me in the middle of the night last night. It was about my blog (yesterday?). Anyway, we are all made up with one another now. I think we both ended up with hurt feelings, but we both apologized to each other. We are OK now.
I did feel bad that I hurt her feelings though. Really, I was just upset about other things, that I cannot discuss yet, but will be blogging about soon. I think once she got the whole picture, she understood where I was coming from.
After talking to Julie for about two hours on the phone, we hung up and Autumn had a complete meltdown. She was telling me that she is so sad without you and that she misses you so much and it is taking just too long. All I could do was hug her and tell her that you were going to get back to her just as soon as you could. I told her I was sorry she was so sad. I asked her if I could take her out to dinner to help cheer her up. She said yes.
In other news, I got a lot of house work done today, but no working out. I'm going to be running 9.5 miles tomorrow and then I hope to make it to the bookstore to check out some study guides on the old testament. I hope I can find what I'm looking for. I'd like a guide that covers each chapter of the old testament. I want to really take my time through it.
I love you and miss you very much.
