Dentist.
Autumn woke me up at 330 am this morning. I did not fall back to sleep until 6 am. Then I woke up at 730 am. I ended up on the couch.
I feel so exhausted right now.
Anyway, it started off really nice outside.
I was working on my Monday chores when I saw Autumn out on the deck
Dressed like this....
I wanted to get another shot because the tree has gotten so huge since you left.
I love this tree.
While I was out there, I heard a lot of buzzing noise.
There must have been a thousand carpenter bees in the bushes right by the deck.
I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
Carpenter bees are pollinators aren't they?
I don't think I would want to kill them, but I'm just not kidding you...
There were LOTS of them.
After taking care of chores and eating lunch (the girls swimming), we got showered, dressed and headed over to CSU.
I'm meeting with the Department Chair over the Biology department and I was not really sure where her offices were at.
I didn't want to try to figure it out at the last minute tomorrow.
We found the office I was looking for, but the girls were super interested in the science building.
They were checking out all the displays.
You know which one caught Autumn's eye?
The rocks!!!
That girl loves to look at rocks, pick up rocks, collect rocks....
While we were standing right there, we bumped into Sam Dilts.
I was shocked to see her there because I thought she graduated already.
I guess she walked, but takes one more exam on Wednesday and then she is done.
We chatted for a bit and I told her that I would be asking her about which professors she liked and what not!
We headed back to the so we could get to our dental appointments on time.
The girls really liked the college.
I decided I'm going to bring them there as often as I can.
Hey, I'm all about getting my kids interested in college.
I think for the first time, Autumn thought college was cool.
She was excited about it.
We finally get over to the dentist office and Millie gets called back first.
First of all, this outfit is ridiculous!!
Secondly, she wrote E's all over her hands and knees.....
The hygienist asked me how often Millie brushes her teeth.
I told her that Millie brushes her teeth 4, 5 sometimes 6 times a day.
I don't know why, the girl just likes to brush her teeth.
Once the hygienist starts working on Millie, she says, "These are the cleanest teeth I have ever seen."
She said there really was not much to do with Millie's mouth.
Her "cleaning" took about five minutes.
Next up was Autumn.
They started with an x-ray.
Can you see all those adult teeth?
They think the two middle bottom teeth are going to be coming out soon.
There is virtually no root left in those.
Her 6 year molars are also coming in.
They said that once those come through, if they look healthy, they will seal them.
I tried to zoom in on the picture, but I'm not sure it is any better than the other.
Anyway, Autumn's teeth look great.
There are a few they are keeping an eye on for potential cavities, but the hope is that those will come out before any intervention is needed.
I had a clean report too.
Those kinds of dentist visits are always pleasant.
They want to do the same x-ray on Millie at the next appointment.
We are set to go back in December. Dang... December.
There are storms a brewing here now.
I was hoping to get another walk in this evening, but I'm not walking so long as it is thundering.
I hope I sleep well tonight.
I feel really worn out.
