Fathers Day.

This morning started off OK.

Once we were ready for church, I couldn't find Autumn.

I had Millie buckled in (Millie told me Autumn was in the Jeep, but when we got to it, she wasn't there).

I come back in the house and still cannot find Autumn.

Finally, she is hiding in her closet, completely crying.

She won't tell me what is wrong, but that she doesn't want to go to church.

To be honest, I was filled with dread about going myself, but I'm singing in the choir.

I get her out to the car, she cried all the way to church.

I dropped her off to her Sunday School class.

I made eye contact with Rebecca.

Her husband just left.

I cry.

I couldn't sit through my class, so I just sat in the sanctuary.

I cry some more.

I sang with the choir and as soon as we were done, I ask the girls if they want to go home.

They jump at that and we leave.

Autumn asks if we can go to eat and bring Grandpa.

She picks Fuji Jap House.

I can't get ahold of your dad, so we just go.

At the restaurant, another family is with us.

The mom asks the girls what special thing they did for Fathers day.

Autumn bursts into tears and Millie scolds,

"My dad is in Afghanstan!"

The lady apologizes.

She thanks us.

At the end of our meal, she pays our bill!!!

I told her no, it was OK, but she insisted.

We said thank you and head home.

Your dad gets ahold of us and wants to go to dinner.

The girls gave him homemade cards.

When we got home from dinner, I trapped Harry in the house.

I called your dad.

We caught Harry after some spirited chasing.

Your dad got that tick out and I disposed if it.

It is triple wrapped and tossed in the outside garbage!!!

Autumn fussed about not being able to talk to you.

I told her maybe tomorrow.

We are all in bed and feeling emotionally drained.

We miss you.

Fathers day without you, just feels wrong.

Your current wife and favorite airman. XOXO
