More from Beach Lake
Friday night Millie had her best friend, Zoe, spend the night.
Saturday morning we got up and headed out to Try it Again Sports to purchase Millie some ice skates.
After we made the awful mistake of eating Taco Bell for lunch and dropping Zoe back off at home, we grabbed Autumn and Dingo and went out to Beach Lake again.
Sean, Autumn and I walked while Millie skated.
Autumn and I went off on our own and walked along the beach.
We saw two bald eagles.
They were huge!!!
When Autumn first pointed out the one on a branch hanging over the beach, she asked, "Is that a human?"
As we got closer, it took off.
Autumn and I turned around and that was when we realized there was one really high up in a tree and it had been watching us the entire time.
We got near the tree it was in (looking for illegal feathers to collect) and it swooped down on us.
It was very exciting to say the least.
Millie enjoyed her ice skating adventures but was begging to go somewhere that had a glacier.
I don't think that we are quite ready for that adventure, but some day.
Now some of the rest of us need some skates!
When Autumn and I made it back to the lake where Millie was ice skating, we could hear the sounds of the ice expanding and contracting.
It was creepy to say the least.
Someone was in the middle of the lake drilling a hole.
I guess it's thicker than you might think!
The last photo was from Reflections Lake.
I hope to go there and get some of my own photos.
