Entertaining dinner guests.
Autumn has taken this buddy thing to a whole new level.
She is now entertaining her friends during dinner. We had chicken Alfredo and besides the fact that I always overcook the chicken, it was really good. I cannot believe how easy Alfredo sauce is to make! Why on earth would you ever by that pre-made stuff in the store? It only takes three ingredients: butter, heavy cream and Parmesan cheese (the good stuff people, in the deli section that you have to grate yourself). Autumn and I tore it up.
Not really sure what to say about Autumn this evening. Our morning started off rough, Autumn had a cow and knocked my laptop out of my lap because she was angry and broke it. It is possible it is only a minor issue, but it is also possible it is not. I will take it to Best Buy sometime later this week when it isn't so hectic.
I was pretty mad about how she had behaved and I guess she sensed it because when I dropped her off at the gym daycare, she didn't cry, not one bit. It was shocking! Then after the gym, she asked to hold my hand through the parking lot. I was like seriously, what happened to my kid and who is this. It made me wonder if she was getting sick. Once we got to lunch, she was hugging, kissing, cuddling and patting my back. When we got home, she went straight down for her nap with no fuss (although, that is pretty normal). She completely behaved in the grocery store, which took over an hour! I guess the mad went right out of me pretty quick. She didn't mean to break the laptop, although she did mean to toss it in the floor. We are working on it.
My heart is sad tonight. Angie, Davis and Riley are preparing for upcoming deployment and I have to tell you, it just doesn't seem fair. Davis hasn't even been home six months I don't think. It makes me feel a little guilty because you and I have lucked out so much with this assignment and more than likely you will be home in enough time for New Human #2 to show himself, and then poor Davis gets such an unfair shake of things and will most likely miss New Human #2 for them. I am saying prayers for them tonight and the most I can do is let them know that we are just down the road if they EVER need anything.
Tomorrow is a big day for our little family. I have my big ultrasound in the morning. Travis is coming over to watch Dylan and Autumn while Cindy and I go to the appointment. I cannot wait to update you about it.
I love you and miss you very much.
