Rover Run

At daycare this morning, Miss Thea said Autumn had a big moment! Autumn gave her kitty cat, that she loves and adores, to another little girl named Audrey. You know there are certain things Autumn wouldn't share (like her blanket or kitty cat) and she did. Miss Thea was so proud/shocked of Autumn that she ran across the room and hugged her. I was very proud to hear the story. We have such a wonderful daughter.

I talked to your mom and dad today for a bit. Boy do they enjoy seeing pictures of you and Autumn on the blog. Your dad said that your "accommodations" look a little better than what he had in Viet Nam. We talked for a little while and then it was time for me and Autumn to get on to our activity!

We went for a hike out at Far North Bicentennial Park-Rover Run trail. Angie and Riley couldn't make it because of time restraints, but I didn't want to get out there any later than 4 considering it starts getting dark around 530. I'm so glad Autumn and I went though. The temperature was perfect at 29 degrees. We had such a good time that from now on, any Friday with a temp above 20 = Cherish + Autumn hiking (at least until my belly gets too big). I think we can keep this up through February even with a growing belly!

Now we all know that no hike is complete without a few necessary items:
Bringing the purse
One being her purse (and later I'll show the the other)!! At least she wore her gloves this time. I was so proud of her because she kept them on the WHOLE time.

Cherish, NH2 and Autumn
It probably looks like I'm poking my belly out, but where that belt went across my belly kind of pushed things down! Regardless, I think we are two cute chicks! I was kind of thinking is this what it is like to carry twins, since I had two little humans on me, but it wasn't so bad. Good thing I used that pack over the summer, not sure if I would have done so hot today otherwise!

The Trail
The view from the trail. Pretty isn't it??

Where is Autumn
I went to take a picture of Autumn to see how she was doing and when I looked at it, I burst out laughing. I was trying to adjust her hat so she could see, but she ended up taking it off. I felt a little bad about that because there was no way I was going to be able to get it back on while she was on my back and there was no way I was going to take that pack off!

There she is
So that is how she went the rest of the hike. Autumn was laughing, pointing at everything, saying "tree, snow, puppy".

The water
We got to the bridge and saw the running water. I think it looks pretty neat.

Losing daylight.
Sorry for the quality on this one, it is hard to take a picture when you have to hold the camera the way I did, but she was touching all the tree branches to knock the snow off on us, then she would squeal with delight! The other thing about this picture, you can see we are losing daylight!

Snow!
Now you can see really important item #2- the kitty cat!! Your daughter cracks me up! She wiped that snow all over my shoulder and hat and just thought it was the funniest thing ever!

Touching
Snow flakes. I think Autumn finally figured out the importance of gloves. She was able to touch that snow without getting it all over her hands and her hands didn't get as cold as they normally do!

Once we got back to the car, Autumn cried. She didn't want to go. I let her walk around for a bit while I got the car loaded up and the gear off of me. Overall it was a wonderful time. I did have to bribe her with M&M's to get back in the car, it worked like a charm.

I love you and miss you dearly.

Your Favorite Wife and Airman. xoxo

89 days without you.
