New Kicks.

After the gym today, Autumn and I went to the 5th Avenue Mall. I want to paint a picture for you. I was wearing dark gray sweat pants, my light gray fleece jacket and a black t-shirt underneath (that was too long so hanging out from the bottom of my jacket)! I looked awful OK, I had just worked out, I was in full military wife gear!!! SOOOOOOO we went in to Nordstrom's and a pair of shoes caught Autumn's eyes. The shoes on display were a size 5, but they looked big. I crammed Autumn's feet into them and set her down. The shoes light up! She kept looking at her feet and walking all around. I had a feeling the shoes were too small, so the sales lady tried to help me take Autumn's shoe off to measure her feet. WELL!!!!!!!!!!!! Little Miss Autumn threw a gigantic fit! Cindy and Dylan heard her across the store and came over to see if everything was alright. We got the right shoe and here she is:

New Shoes
The lights on them are so bright, that when they went off in the car, I thought the police were behind us!!

Gangsta
She looks cute in this photo to me.

Dancing
She took to dancing!

Autumn loves her shoes so much that she wouldn't take them off for nap time and she is in bed right now with them on!! What a silly girl!

Crib shopping tonight was, well disappointing. I did find a possible crib at Baby Depot, but all the "kids" dressers are lame. They have only 3 drawers and cost as much as the cribs do. I don't think so. We may end up going to an actual furniture store and purchasing a for real dresser. It was nice to spend time with Angie and Riley though. It helps knowing that someone is in the same boat as me- missing the hubbs so much it is almost unbearable. Our girls do similar things (like look for dad, or talk about you all day long) and we both feel the same heartache over that. Thanks Angie for providing a nice distraction and I'm sorry my child was a monster at dinner time!!

I have something exciting to share. Brian posted a video this morning that totally made my day.

So Brian may have stolen the spot light from a very cute, lovable Autumn (who by the way has more hair than him now- I think!), but this video is absolutely amazing! It makes my heart swell with happiness for him because that is sheer mind over matter, plain as day for the whole world to see. It doesn't matter that he was told he had less than a 1 percent chance he would ever walk again, he willed it. Brian, we think you are amazing and know that you will continue to make progress. I wish we could be there in a bigger way than just moral support.

There is a quote that every time I read it, I think of Brian. "Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will." - Mahatma Gandhi

OK, so back to our cute, lovable, full head of hair savage!!

We miss you and cannot wait to have you home with us again.
