I have an IKEA!
First thing this morning, we had to go to the dentist.
Autumn in the chair playing her video game. I explained to the technician (who was much better than the one we had last time) that Autumn was the kind of kid who needed to know what was happening prior to them putting things in her mouth. They did an excellent job of that.
Millie and I looking on.
She was excited about being at the dentist (she knew she would be able to pick out a prize from the treasure chest!!).
Autumn hooked up to the laughing gas. She didn't really laugh, but I could tell she was feeling good. I've not seen her that chill since she was a baby! I asked her how she was feeling and she sort of Tony the Tigered her answer, "GRRRRRRReat!!!!" It made everyone giggle.
They filled her tooth and said that it was a very small cavity and that the filling was tooth colored, it won't even be noticeable. As we were leaving the dentist office, she asked me if her lip and teeth were big. I was confused and then remembered they also numbed her and that the last time I had something numbed in my mouth, it did make my lip feel big. I told her it would wear off, but she cried about it a little bit. That is until we made it to Krispy Kreme. I bought her some doughnuts and she seemed to forget all about her tooth problem.
We made our way to Aunt Carolyn's house where Grandma Betty was visiting. We had lunch that Grandma Betty cooked (some sort of hash brown casserole), it was delicious.
The girls played and acted like maniacs, then we headed to a nearby park. I have pictures from that on my camera, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. We headed back to Carolyn's and Millie took a nap and she sure did need one.
Finally after 5 pm, Millie woke up and we made our way to IKEA.
The girls loved it in IKEA. They didn't want to leave.
Their favorite item?
This chair. I do believe we shall be buying one or two.
That is supposed to be her smiley face.
The girls picked out flowers to bring home.
We left IKEA to find a bunch of traffic on the I-75/85 corridor. We stopped and grabbed a fast food dinner then took exit 41 off I85. We stopped in the Pilot for a potty break. I had to bribe Autumn to go. Autumn picked out a ring pop, but Millie grabbed something different and I told her no. I grabbed her some M&M's, but she pitched the biggest fit in the middle of the gas station. I'm talking threw herself down in the floor kicking and screaming fit. I paid for our items, got her buckled in the car and she starts saying "ring pop" over and over. SO, I told her I would go and get her a ring pop. Your mom says as soon as I started walking in, Millie started smiling. Your mom asked her if she was happy now and she said, "YEssssssss." What a bad girl! The clerk in the gas station gave me a disappointed look and said,
"You caved."
I said, "I know, but it is either this ring pop, or I am leaving her outside." I didn't want to listen to that all the way home.
We got your mom dropped off at her house at 9pm. The girls both fell asleep. We are now home, the car unloaded, the A/C turned back on, the children in bed asleep. I hope to sleep in and very well tonight.
I love you and miss you bunches.
