Pool party.

I think I will write about our day and then post all the pictures.

We celebrated Kaitlyn's 7th birthday yesterday with a cookout and pool party.

Sometime in the afternoon, while I was in the pool, Autumn came to me and told me very nonchalantly, "Mom, I'm ready to swim without this on." I think I might have looked surprised because I saw the doubt creep into her eyes immediately, but I wasn't surprised about her wanting to swim in the pool with no vest, I was surprised it took her so long to ask. I think she was ready for this moment several months ago and with absolutely no prompting on my part, she finally just said, "I'm ready."

I reaffirmed Autumn that she could do it and I would be right there to make sure she was safe.

I took her vest off, she jumped in.... the DEEP end and she has been swimming all around the pool.

Autumn jumped in with that banoodle. Of course, now that I'm looking, I didn't put any photos of Autumn swimming in the deep end life vest free, but I'll get you some tonight or tomorrow when we are home.

Millie just swimming all over the pool like it is no big deal.

At least there is one happy girl.

We are packing up now. Yes, it is 5 am. Autumn had an accident on all of us, so I have stuff in the washer. I'm hoping to close my eyes for a few more minutes.

I love you and miss you.

Your current wife and favorite airman. xoxo

The count: 78 days of deciding to swim without you.
