What a long day.
We started off at Ihop. She wasn't waffaling around.
French Toast and BACON!
Then we headed to Hobby Lobby because I wanted to
Clean up this mess in the pantry.
Hobby Lobby was not having any sales on glass, so I passed and just made due (OK, is it do or due??? I cannot figure it out) with what we had already in the pantry. After hobby lobby, we headed over to
Bed, Bath and Beyond. I wanted that bear to go in my brown sugar. It is supposed to keep the sugar soft.
After that we went to Barnes and Noble. The girls picked out a book for them and a book for their OCC. Next up was Sam's. We needed cat food. Then walmart for our items for OCC and a few groceries.
The girls did a really good job of picking out what they wanted to put in each box. One for a girl and one for a boy. I only had to remind Autumn and Millie a few times that today was not about them, but about giving to someone who did not have much of anything.
Once done at Walmart, we came home, unloaded all our items and then
Played out on the drive way.
Way past nap time.
I was sitting outside with the girls, getting some sunshine and taking some pictures of them when I noticed an older truck, blue with 1 white male occupant driving by very slowly. He was staring me down. He pulled into the neighbors across the street drive way, turned around and continued staring at me. He sat there for what felt like a few minutes, just staring at me when my cell phone rang. I picked it up, it was Devonne. He drove away, staring at me. He parked at the drug dealers house. I think he was there working on the roof (they are putting in an additional room over their garage).
That left me with such a creepy feeling.
I told the girls to come inside so we could work on some drawings.
Right after making it inside,
Millie knocked out!
Not Autumn though!
Since Autumn was awake, we decided we would bake something.
We donned our aprons and got to work.
Sorting the popcorn kernels from the popcorn (or eating the popcorn in Autumn's case).
Stirring.
Sifting. Autumn is a terrible sifter by the way. She got tired of how long it was taking and when I was not looking, just dumped the cocoa out into the bowl. I asked her why did it look so clumpy, because it shouldn't look clumpy at all after going through the sifter. She said, "Oh, I just dumped it in there."
Once it got to this point, Autumn did not want to stir anymore. Probably a good call.
Chocolate popcorn. Always a big hit.
After finishing that, I got a message from Kristin about a 31 party tonight. She had invited me to go earlier in the week and I said I would. I was going to cancel because I am not feeling well at all, but she sent me a message saying not to worry about feeding the girls, she had lots of food. That made me feel bad, so I decided we would go.
Now that Autumn and Millie are both awake, we wanted to make a drawing to put in the box with the gifts they picked out.
Autumn wrote Merry Christmas.
Millie also writes stuff, but your guess is as good as mine as to what it says!
Isn't she darling?
I like how it looks like she is really writing something.
Autumn is always so serious when she is doing stuff like this.
The stuff that went in our girl box. We wrote on the drawing something like, "Dear Friend, I hope you enjoy these gifts. My name is Autumn and I am 4 years old. I picked these items just for you. Love, Autumn." I wrote our address on it and enclosed a picture of Autumn. Originally, Autumn was supposed to do the boy box, but she wanted to do the girl one. Millie did not seem to mind.
Sweet, sweet Millie.
We left the house around 630. It was already dark, so I flipped the outside lights on and I don't want you to think I am crazy, but I grabbed the gun and put it in the glove box. I know that is probably illegal, but that guy really left me with a bad feeling and I knew we would be getting home late and in the dark.
I went to Kristin's party and bought a little bag, organizer thing. The girls mostly had a good time. There is a few bumps with Autumn and Abigail. Abigail and Autumn have similar personalities (re: they are both the boss). They bump heads pretty badly, but Emelia and Abigail get along splendidly.
We made it home about 9 pm. After pulling into the garage, I did not unlock the doors until the garage door was closed. I will be sleeping with the gun near by tonight.
I hope that guy is not coming back around. Seriously Sean, he really creeped me out.
I love you.
Your current wife and favorite airman. xoxo
The count: 118 and 14 days of not sleeping well without you.
