A talking to.
An honest conversation between your daughter and I.
Autumn: Did you leave that fire in the fire place while we were at the store?
Cherish: Yes I did..... (wondering where this is going).
Autumn: That wasn't very responsible of you.
HOLY COW! Those were her actual words and I was on the phone to my mom at the time and she heard it. She says that Autumn sounds JUST like I did at that age. I was not expecting that comment either.
I didn't want to restart a fire in the fireplace when we got back, so I left it going on purpose. We needed milk. We came back home.
So I have the rest of my pictures from the USS Alabama to share with you.
They wanted to know if we could ring it, but honestly I wasn't sure. There was no sign or anything.
Roww and Doodles.
Millie lifted a price tag in the gift shop. She attached it to herself. Apparently, to buy her would cost you $1.95.
Isaac, Izzy, Emelia and Autumn... the vowel gang.
So is it lead like in leader or lead like in paint?
This ship was huge with huge guns!
Our first look into the ship.
It would appear I took a lot of Roww pictures.
The gedunk stand. I want one! Google it! They are pretty neat.
We spent so much time in the bunking quarters. The kids loved it.
I thought it was pretty comfortable too.
Jenny and Isaac.
Silly picture of Izzy and Autumn.
In jail.
Cool!
This picture seriously creeps me out. I think I got a picture of a ghost.
Probably one of my favorite pictures from our visit. Emelia, Izzy and Autumn.
Me and Millie.
Sunset was gorgeous. We kept hearing announcements that it was time to go. We were the very last people out there.
Jenny helping the girl see over the side.
Millie's turn.
I really wasn't sure what that was, but it looked neat the way the sun was hitting it.
One last picture of all of us.
Autumn was leading the way.
Since we were the last people there, we let the kids ring the bell.
After we got everyone loaded up in the car, we ordered some Olive Garden went to pick it up. Next up was Walmart. I needed milk for Millie and wine for me. I got a little bit lost, but Jenny was able to use her GPS and got me back to the Walmart. We got to the hotel, fed the kids in the lobby and then Jenny and I sipped on some box wine. After all the kids ate, we put on our swimsuits and let the kids swim until the pool closed down, 9 pm (that is 10 pm Georgia time). We went to bed, the girls crashed out almost immediately.
I lay in bed in pure agony. The nausea hasn't let up at all. I was trying to convince myself not to throw up and honestly, I was getting so desperate, I almost went to the bathroom to just get it over with. Finally sweet sleep came around 1 or 2 am. The girls woke up for the day at 445 am (545 am Georgia time, which is typical for them).
We went down to the lobby, ate breakfast. Played in the room, watched TV. I started packing some. I asked the manager if we could go to the pool at 9 even though it didn't open until 10 and he said that would be OK. So we let the kids play and the at 10 headed to our rooms.
I gave the girls their bath, dressed them, finished loading the car. Said good bye to Jenny. Checked out of the hotel and we came home. I wanted to stop at one of the state parks on the way home, but the weather wasn't conducive and honestly, after having like 3 hours of sleep, I was just exhausted.
That was our trip in a nutshell. I would love to go back and spend some more time on the ship. I think the girls would like that too.
Today we did not go to church this morning. Millie had wrecked out her car seat over the weekend and it was sitting in the garage disassembled. I have cleaned it out, but the pieces of the seat were still drying. We left only to go and grab that milk. This evening Autumn had iguana's, so we went to that. She seemed happy to go and when church started, Millie was quite happy to go to her room too. I think the girls are definitely ready to go back to school.
Tomorrow I plan to meet with Kristen after dropping Autumn off to school and we are going to walk on Fall Line Trace for a bit.
I love you and I miss you so much.

The count: 118 and 65 days of waiting for the sunset to fall upon US.
