Disappointed.
To say that I am disappointed with the eye care place would be an understatement. They called me up this afternoon (around noon) and informed me Millie's frames were in. I asked what their hours were for today and tomorrow. I told her we would try to make it today, although I wasn't really sure. Millie went to bed last night with a fever, 103. I gave her some motrin and had her sleep in the bed with me. Her fever came down rather quickly, but she has been out of sorts today.
Sleeping off and on, looking quite pale and very cuddly. She runs out of energy quickly.
Millie this morning. I was able to get her in pj's last night because she was so out of it at bedtime. The thing that cracked me up about this picture was the barbie doll. What on earth are these girls playing?
Once she woke up from her afternoon nap though, I decided we should go on over there and get it over with.
Can you tell Millie isn't feeling quite herself?
On the way over, I realized I was very hot. No wonder. My car got up to 81 degrees at one point.
The old glasses.
The new glasses. We were in the for just over an hour waiting for them to pop the lenses out of one and into the other. After about 30 minutes, one of the techs came over to me and said that they couldn't get the lenses into the new frames. She said the lab person had already left for the day and I would need to come back on Monday.
I was mad. It takes like 30 minutes to get over there and I did not feel like even doing it today, I surely didn't feel like doing it again on Monday. I didn't want to act like a petulant child, but I did want them to know I was displeased. I told the technician that I was not surprised they were unable to do their job, this is what I had been dealing with the entire time we mistakenly used their services. I started to walk out and turned around and said that I would like to speak with the manager.
Sonja, the lady who was raked over the coals by the specialist walks over to me and before I even open my mouth she says, would you like me to try to get the lenses in? I said yes.
She got them in.
Millie's first remark was that the glasses were too tight. The strap was a bit tight, so I loosened it. She said it felt much better. I asked her if they felt better than her other glasses and she smiled very big and said yes. Millie told Sonja, "thank you."
We stopped and picked up some Nyquil for me and some oreos for the girls. We also grabbed a movie from redbox and Chinese food for dinner.
So we ate our dinner and our oreos.
Autumn ate two bowls of Chinese food!
Next up is our movie and nyquil.
I love you.

PS- I hope these blogs have been making sense the last few days. My mind feels clouded with sickness. I did do the neti pot today, but it sucked.
The count: 118 and 70 days without you.
