Clutter no more.
When you have two princesses, there are lots of accessories. I didn't set out today to de-clutter the bathroom, it just happened.
I tossed out baby stuff that we do not need anymore (despite Cindy trying to convince me to go for #3)....
This is the top of the storage unit in the girls bathroom. By moving the planks around, I was able to make enough room to put the beach towels up there. It freed up some space in the hall closet. I put the stuff that I use for the girls on the shelf below it, basically stuff I don't want them to be able to reach. The third shelf down is stuff we use almost daily and it is OK for the girls to have access to it. That purple basket is full of jewelry and "make-up".
Everything in the bottom half is stuff the girls needed to have easy access to. Bath towels, hand towels, washcloths. Then the flush-able wipes and Millie's pullups. I took the hamper out of there. The only person who used it was me and quite frankly, it was annoying. I put it in Millie's room, since it goes with her decor anyway and explained to her how it worked. She was very excited about it!
I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but we have A LOT of hair accessories.
Not my favorite way to store them, but it will work for now. I wanted something quick, easy and that we already had available. This met all the requirements. I will probably come up with something else later, but for now I'm glad I do not have to dig through the drawer to find matching bows.
My hard work from yesterday.
Tomorrow all that will be left is to spot clean whatever mess the girls make in the morning and to cook, prepare a few things for my guests.
I think we might put a fire in the fireplace. Your dad keeps bringing me so much wood. I try to use it up as quickly as he gives it to me because who knows when it will get hot again. I don't want it sitting around!
After cleaning and taking care of stuff around the house, the girls and I had dinner (steak, rice- that I managed NOT to burn today, and green beans). Your mom called me as we were finishing up and said they were headed out to Panera for your dad's birthday. DOH!!!!!! I told her she should stop here on the way home so the girls could wish Jim a happy birthday.
They stayed for about an hour. Your dad and I chit chatted. I'll be sending the girls to bed shortly.
Millie's $3 pjs. SCORE!
They miss you so much.
As do I.
I love you Sean Jordan.
Your current wife and favorite airman. xoxo
The count: 118 and 77 days of goodnight without you.
