A glimmer of light.
This morning both girls woke up fever free. I thought that was a great sign that they were on the road to getting better and maybe, just maybe, they would go to school tomorrow.
By 10 am, they were both running a fever again. UGH! Whatever it is they have, it is like the gift that never stops giving.
I just know it is the flu. So, no school again tomorrow. No leaving the house. Maybe we can go for a little walk around the neighborhood or something.
Last night, before I went to bed, I put together my French Toast Casserole.
I popped it in the oven this morning and after about an hour, I had a wonderful breakfast. The girls did not eat any of it, but I think that is because they aren't feeling well and egg does not sound good when you are sick.
I was hanging out, folding laundry when the girls walked up to me and informed me:
"We have a baby in our belly." Well Millie actually had a teddy bear and Autumn had a shrimp? You know, that blue thing that has a yellow belly that lights up and glows. I don't know what that thing is! I thought they were pretty comical.
They have been up and down all day for the last 3 to 4 days though. As much as they are laughing, they are also crying and whining. Millie told me many times today that she just wanted me to hold her.
This is where they spent most of the day.
I have high hopes that tomorrow will be better. I feel completely exhausted. I just need some sleep too, and a shower! I think I may hop in a bath tonight once I get everyone in bed.
I love you and miss you very much.
