When from the attic arose such a clatter
I fell down the ladder and said, "what the hell is the matter?"
I took all the presents out of the attic so that I could wrap and tonight after girls are in bed, assemble. That doll house is heavy. I thought I was on the last step and stepped out to realize there were still three steps. I hurt my knee, my back and my shoulder. I hit the wall so hard with my shoulder that I thought there would be a hole in the wall. There isn't.
Everything is tucked away in our bathroom with the door locked right now. I have most of the presents wrapped. Just a few left to go. Before I post those pictures though, I want to share Millie's class party.
Millie looks so thrilled doesn't she? Millie, Alexis and Mason.
That's better Millie.
Singing "Away in a manger".
Putting stars in the sky.
Millie and Autumn look so sweet!
Millie started to get grouchy because she wanted to stand next to "Awom".
Now I have happy girls.
Autumn's class left (they were only in to help the "younger" kids sing). Once the singing portion was over, we ate lunch and then worked on gingerbread houses.
Millie was very methodical again.
She received lots and lots of gifts. They brought Autumn back down to the hall where the party was at and so began the mother of all meltdowns. Millie got to go to my party, but I did not get to go to hers.
Autumn wanted all of Millie's stuff. I can admit that Millie got 3 or maybe even 4 times as much as Autumn did yesterday, but when Autumn got all her things yesterday, Millie did not get any thing. Nor did she cry and complain while she watched Autumn work on her gingerbread house.
When we got home, Millie was a very nice girl and shared most of her things with Autumn. I think they ate all the candy in a matter of a few hours and have been on horrible sugar highs ever since.
This is pretty much the attitude I have been getting all day long!
Their Christmas Eve pj's.
I think they will love them! I am hoping since it sort of looks like a dress that Millie will wear it.
Millie's loot.
Autumn's loot.
Autumn's bracelet. I will get it engraved later. Plan to put Autumn on the front and my phone # on the back.
The joint gifts. That doll house is going to take me a week to figure out. Maybe I will play with it though once I get it all together!
There are still more gifts. This doesn't include gifts from your mom and dad and my mom/dad are sending another box for them. I am not buying anything else though (except for rechargeable batteries for the Leappad and Mobigo).
I mailed out some things today. Each one of those letters represent a card we have received from someone!
Yesterday was Mrs. Keri's birthday. Autumn wanted me to write on the card, "Mrs. Keri Dear, I love you." Millie signed her name as well.
Aurora's hanging spot for today.
I am saddened to say that Mr Penelope has still not made an appearance. I looked around for him today, but no luck. Today marks 5 days of not seeing him. I sure do hope he is wandering the neighborhood.
I love you.
Your current wife and favorite airman. xoxo
The count: 118 and 46 days of falling from the attic without you.
